Timetable 29 Oct 2000 - 24 Mar 2001 / Man at Airport / The Qualiflyer Group

Service 516 had been on a temporary timetable, due to the closure of Pebble Hill Road at Betchworth, from 8th September 2014. This saw it have to divert via the A24 and double run Headley to/from Box Hill.

Pebble Hill Road re-opened on Friday 23rd January 2015, however Monday 26th January saw the start of a closure of West Street in Dorking, necessitating another temporary timetable. Inbound 516s to Dorking are terminating at The White Horse (rather than continuing to South Street). On departure from Dorking, they are starting at the White Horse, and running via South Street to Townfield Court, where they are serving stop R instead of stop S, then running via Horsham Road, Flint Hill and up the A24 Deepdene Avenue to regain normal line of route. This arrangement is in place all day weekdays, but not Saturdays. The road is closed from 9.15am to 3.30pm on weekdays.

The 465 is also running via Flint Hill and Deepdene Avenue.

Arriva's 32 and Metrobus' 22 and 93 are diverting via Station Road and Ashcombe Road.

Here's the 516's timetable at stop J on Epsom High Street, updated with details of the services' new temporary timetable.

The interesting thing being of course its location.

This, the latest edition, is actually only half as tall and slightly narrower than the previous ones--it came out bigger in the scan.

A timetable for the always reliable bus service in Dublin.

The mystery timetable! No date given, but I suspect it's from the early 1980's. Aspen Airways was a Denver based airline that primarily flew in Colorado but they apparently set-up shop in CA for awhile. The Wikipedia page about them mentions they flew CA routes to/from Lake Tahoe but no mention is made of Stockton and Modesto! Can anyone shed any light on this?

UPDATE- looks to be circa 1982. Aspen Airways had a little "separate" network in California at the time.

Here we have another in my occasional series of Norfolk County Council timetable cases. This one is situated at Thurgarton Church and a few months ago I noticed that it had disappeared. However, today I found it face down in the grass asleep, although, unlike the previously uploaded shot of the case at Heydon, on this occasion there was no evidence to suggest that this slumber had been induced by alcohol.

Having propped the case up against the adjacent fingerpost I was able to deduce that the timetable was dated to commence from 27th July 2008 and I can confirm that due to subsequent changes it has been out of date since 5th September 2010 at least. The service 18 timings are incorrect, particularly as the Saturday timings are now different to those used from Monday to Friday, however the would be Saturday traveller who arrives at this stop will not miss a bus, although they may well give up after waiting for nearly an hour. Also included are journeys on a rather quaintly named service AYL GR1, a school day only bus running from Aylmerton Roman Camp PH to the village school at Gresham, but as far as I can tell it no longer operates.

The above description has been updated since it was uploaded.

This train is named after the Nilgiri (Tamil / Hindi / Sanskrit: English - (Nil - Blue; giri - Mountain)) Hills. The train is primarily intended for travellers to these hills, especially to the towns of Ooty, Coonoor and Kotagiri. Mettupalayam is near Coimbatore, which is at the foot of these hills, and the Nilgiri Express links to the Nilagiri passenger train operated by the Nilgiri Mountain Railway (NMR) at Mettupalayam station, enabling passengers to complete the journey to Udagamandalam by rail.

This train had a dark blue colored rake distinctly spottable from other trains till 1997/98 when all the other train shad Maroon/brick colored coaches. When the rake color of the other train changed for conversion to Vacuum brakes even this train got the same color as the other trains.

The train is hauled by a WAP electric locomotive from Chennai Central to Coimbatore Junction. At Coimbatore, there is a loco reversal. Since the 38km long Coimbatore-Mettupalayam stretch is not electrified, hence a WDM diesel locomotive is used to pull the train in this section in both directions.
