This is one of many buckets used to collect sap which is boiled down to make syrup. The "sugar shack" in the background is where its boiled down. There is enough syrup made to have pancake breakfasts that are open to the public. Also included are tours of the big woods where they collect the sap as well as the pioneer village nearby.

At the 9th Annual Soggy Bottom Syrup Festival today I photographed the skimming process, a labor that turned what looked like dirty water turn golden syrup. It smelled great!
