Taken at the Surrey Photography Club meeting. Syrup was trailed on glass supported above an illuminated floor.
I'm pulling out the can of syrup (now completely empty) that was feeding the bees in preparation for installing them in the hive. The handful of bees on the top of the box climbed out through the hole where the queen's box had been.
This is a darling syrup dispenser that I honestly don't remember if I married the blue lid with a base or if it came this way. The base says it is from England, so the Cornish blue lid might be original.
