This Albertsons closed down earlier this year. It was one of 4 local locations to be shut down the past couple of years. Funny enough no Safeways in the area closed. A true sign of the times

This is pretty much what an abandoned store looks like. I really want to get in there, but don't want to get arrrested. Weird to not be able to go in there, I used to shop in there all the time. In fact my wife worked there for a few months.

Any ideas to get in there without throwing any alarms ?

The store was full of people with vintage on their minds...

I repainted his eyebrows because I hated how angry he looked before. Now he looks handsome and probably more like "Ken" lol but it is better in my opinion. Tried to create a better fringe but since his hair is so short, it kind of gets hard to style. Anyway, I hope you really like it. :P

Closed in 2015. My go to corner store for many years. Open since at least the 70s.

Tops has announced that they will be closing this store early next year.

This little store in Coquitlam BC, a Vancouver suburb will probably one day become the site of a huge condominium complex. Two towers are going up on the other side of the trees in behind the store. What was once a tiny little place, out grew itself and an addition was built on the left side which is now the entrance to the store rather than the closer door. With the new building going on around Glen Store, the original owner could never have dreamed how valuable his little store would become.

After almost ANOTHER year of visitng this store, they have FINALLY taken the site to store sign that was hanging from the ceiling, cut the "restrooms" tag from the bottom, and placed the sign OVER the Layaway sign...finally...

Photograph taken on January 7, 2009 of former Milliron’s Department Store that opened approximately in 1949. A few years later The Broadway Department Store chain took over this site and it was a Broadway Department Store until the early 1990s. The Broadway disposed of this location. Mervyns took over the site, gutted the interior, remodeled the interior, removed the rooftop parking, as well as an escalator tower and stairs that led to the roof. Located in Westchester California on Sepulveda and LaTijera. Los Angeles California. In 2008, Mervyns announced that they were closing down all of their stores. This former Mervyns Department Store closed down in early January 2009. Originally, when this was a Broadway, you could drive up to the roof for parking via a ramp. The ramp has been sealed off after Mervyns took over the buliding. Photo of inside of closed Mervyns Store.

Located across the street from the former Mervyns is another Shopping Center. In this center is a Longs Drugs and a Ralphs Supermarket. In 2008 CVS Pharmacy Stores puchased the Longs Drug Store Chain. In early April 2009, the Longs Drug Store changed its name to CVS Pharmacy. The CVS Pharmacy is located Ralphs Westchester at Sepulveda at Westchester Parkway, near Lincoln (sort-of) in Los Angeles, California. Ralphs Westchester was builts first, due to its success, Longs Drugs was then built next door. About a block down the street, at Lincoln is another CVS Pharmacy, formerly a Sav-on Drug Store. The cashier at the new CVS store said they were keeping both CVS Stores. Also in this shopping center is Pet Co (former JJ Newberrys then Flax Art Store, now sub divided into Petco, Tuesday Morning and misc. Shops.

In the shopping center connected to the former Mervyns Department Store is the other CVS Pharmacy Store, a former Sav-on Drug Store. This other CVS Pharmacy store is located in a companion shopping center and separtated by less than a mile from the former Longs now CSW Store. In this shopping center is Trader Joes Market, CVS Pharmacy Store, TJ Maxx (former JC Penny Department Store), Pandera Bakery, Hometown Buffet, some misc. shops.

this is what I bought last time I went to the Lego store (this summer). the reason that I post it so late is that I forgot about the photo's and recently found them back.

most thinks are for construction or for water, besides that I also got 4 exo suits, three to sell and one to keep and a lot of wheels for a scrapyard project I want to do in the future.

to everyone that hasn't already got a exosuit I say, be fast with buying one because this can't stay out of your collection for it is such a nice build (it's just like building a moc with all the nice techniques and everything).

Taken during a road trip when my son and I happened upon a Toys R Us along the way home. This store was near Tupelo, MS. At the time the chain was closing stores across the country.

The area known as Midway Mills, near the James River, was the first settled area (1774) of what is now Nelson County, Virginia (having been Goochland, Albemarle and then Amherst County). Sometime in the early 20th or perhaps late 19th century, quarrying began in the area, producing sandstone for building purposes (flagstone). I located part of what exists—down some dirt back roads of Nelson County. The mining community had its own post office and store. Apparently there are few signs of the mining area or community still existent. This was the old store—my informant said the trash can had been in the building for several years. Recently added, after the fact, to Explore for May 16, 2012 at #366--I'm grateful for Explore but I just don't understand why this photo.

an old image from the archives... had to pull out the neg yesterday to get a print made...

today is my Friday, so have a great weekend y'all!

This old store was a suprise find in a little defuct town called Stiles, Iowa in Davis County. Only 45 minutes from home! It has escaped me for a long time. When I was there it was extremely dusty, notice the metal porch roof, and I was just going to come back on a better day. There is an old woodstove on the porch and it has Pepsi signs on both sides. Has a newish metal roof so someone is trying to keep it.

The recently restored Mutual Store on Flinders Street in Melbourne has been converted into apartments and boutique shops on the ground floor.

Similar in style to The Block Arcade on Collins Street, and built at the same time, this mannerist styled gem has a combination of open and closed pediments that flank a central bay window, elaborately detailed corbels and the building is crowned by a seated statuette above a classic mannerist circular window.
