After forever and a day I finally got these very special tights from Wolford - Satin de Lux. I had been put off by the price, but I must say I can’t believe how they feel on me! As soon as my fingers touch the fabric, my heart swelled with joy because they are something special. They feel other-worldly and as I rolled them up my legs, I felt utterly excited as they caressed my feet, calves and thighs. So very sensual!
This black and white photographic postcard depicts a night time view of the United States Great White Fleet, illuminated in Sydney Harbour. The ship lights have been hand coloured. The postcard was printed to commemorate the visit of the American Fleet to Australia in 1908.
In December 1907 United States President Theodore Roosevelt sent the US Atlantic Battle Fleet of 16 battleships, all painted white in peacetime colours, on a 14 month goodwill cruise around the world. The voyage came at a time of tense relations between Japan and America and gave the US an opportunity to demonstrate its blue-water naval capabilities as well as strengthen diplomatic ties. The fleet arrived in Australia on 20 August 1908.

Spectacular scene during the sunset while out fishing. He clouds sitting on the mountain like a hat. The setting sun light lit up the fluffy clouds majestically.
Taken on a trip to South America in late 2008. Impossible to capture the beauty of these falls with a camera, but this is as close as I got.
The Canberra Balloon Spectacular is considered to be one of the best and longest running hot air ballooning events in the world. Held over nine days, pilots begin laying out and inflating their balloons on the lawns of Old Parliament House from 6.15am each day before ascending into the sky and creating an exhilarating back drop to the local attractions.
On the last day of my trip to Canberra in March this year, I got a wonderful opportunity to see this spectacular show.

From the official website:
"Internationally acclaimed artist, Dale Chihuly, returns to the Garden for an encore exhibition of his spectacular works of art, presented in a setting that has doubled in size since his blockbuster show here in 2004.
Chihuly in the Garden includes 19 installation sites all set amongst the Garden's natural beauty. The kaleidoscopic colors of the art for which the artist has become so famous may also be experienced in a different light - at night when the Garden offers extended hours. Explore the exhibition during Chihuly Nights in the evenings from Wednesday – Sunday."

This was on Christmas Day morning and was shot handheld as I was taking a dog for a walk. It was only meant to be an impressionistic view, which is why I shot it at f1.8, wide open.
The spectacular Queen Mary's Gardens in Regent Park. I thought of including some details of the fountain in the composition, as I liked the dynamism that the water's motion adds to the scene. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9mJJGeaWVFo

While sitting in my small dorm, writing a paper for my college science class, the police radio sitting on my desk went off, buzzing about reports of Doctor Octopus assaulting the CEO of the nuclear physics research plant in his office. I quickly scrambled into my spider suit and jumped out the window, off to the crime scene. As I swung to crime scene I contemplated my excuses for why my paper's late and why I had to cancel with Gwen for the third time in a row. Upon my arrival I found good 'ole Octavius slamming Mr. Business into his bookshelf with his arms. "Whoa there Doc! You didn't start the party without me did you?" I shot a web at one of Ock's arms as he grabbed my other wrist with another arm
"Spiderman! Let me undergo my business with this wretched man!"
"Now Otto, what did this man ever do to you?"
"This is the man who made me like this! He is the reason I am what I am!" Doc Ock exclaimed as he pushed Mr. Business out the window suspending him over the Manhatten skyline. "This man set of an explosive in my lab to destroy the lab and collect the insurance money! He bonded these claws to me! He created me!"
"Well that's a reason" I remarked as Otto tightened his grip on my wrist, breaking my web shooter and my hand.
I let go of the web on his arm and shot on into his face and another at the CEO, blinding the good doctor and pulling the CEO back into the building all at once. As Doc Ock struggled to remove the webbing from his face, I made hast, webbing Doctor Octopus's arms together along with the Doctor himself. I suspended him out the window with a web, leaving him for the NYPD.
I attempted to shoot a web to swing back to my dorm only to realize that I had run out of webbing. I proceeded to take the elevator back to ground floor and hailed a cab back to queens. As I rode back, I continued to contemplate excuses for my paper, my date with Gwen, and now my newly broken hand. What a fun day tomorrow's going to be.

This is one of the Princess Jasmine's from the show Aladdin the Musical Spectacular. It is a 45 minute Broadway style show that is free (with paid admission to the park of course).
For this performance she was in another role and not playing Jasmine. I have only wanted to take this picture for a year. I always seemed to miss the focus with my old manual focus lens.
Photowise this was taken with a 300m f4 at ISO 400, f4 (wide open), -0.7EV, and spot metered. There is a little bit of editing, color, brightness, and a little use of the spot healing brush.

Torcello is the most intriguing of the islands in the Venetian lagoon. The island Torcello is even older than Venice. The Byzantine mosaics in the seventh century Cathedral of Santa Maria Dell'Assunta are spectacular. The Byzantine mosaics date from the 11th - 13th centuries.

I was back at the Royal Albert Hall last night for the first of this season's Classical Spectaculars, 6 performances lasting until Sunday 20/11/16. These are official pictures, not mine, as taking pictures whilst on stage would be something of a no no. These concerts occur 12 times a year at the Royal Albert Hall, six in March and six in November.
