I started shooting tonight's sunset when it was "really pretty" and it kept getting redder and redder and was SO amazing! I wish I had been somewhere with no wires in sight! View On Black Wow...Explored at #106 Nov.15
So lucky to witness this stunning sunrise with nacreous clouds at Kinnaber beach this morning.
However, these polar stratospheric clouds are also indicators of toxic chemicals that break down ozone in the upper atmosphere (information from Torc Torr Ance via Facebook).
Knot island during the Snettersham Spectacular this morning.
For those who don't know, at certain high tides the mud flats in the wash are completely submerged forcing the wading birds (mainly Knot, Sanderling and Oystercatchers) to seek refuge on the islands in the RSBP lagoon.
Many of the Knot are in the process of transitioning from summer orange plumage to grey and white for winter.
Couldn't face lugging a tripod down to the beach so attempting to get as slow a shutter speed as possible hand held to try and show the motion of the birds.

What was nothing short of absolute chaos with the amount of people that were trackside that day, it still was some of the most fun I've had chasing. The absolutely spectacular freshly painted Clinchfield 800 splits the Clinchfield original intermediates outside Dungannon, VA with a tremendous amount of fans trackside to bear witness.
I thought these orange-coloured mushrooms were quite beautiful, but it isn't I who call them 'spectacular' - no, 'Spectacular Rustgill' is its name. It is a fungus that normally grows in clusters on rotting wood. You can see the dead wood in the background.
I saw these on an autumn walk in Ryckevelde wood, in a suburb of Bruges. It is a nice place to walk, with several trails leading through the wood, and there is a manor too.
Lilies are so delightful to admire when in full bloom there is no question as to their beauty and elegance. Also what is spectacular is that along with the full bloom portrayed, it is nice to see that others surround as soon to be blossoming beauties.

Spectacular views of the surrounding countryside make the towering Rock of Dunamase a strategic place to build a fortress. Through the centuries, warriors have fought to control this site. The Rock of Dunamase is a popular historic attraction found overlooking the valley of the O’Moores, just outside Portlaoise, County Laois. It was the location of an early Christian settlement known as Dun Masc and later became an important Anglo Norman fortification.
The Vikings pillaged the settlement in 842. Later in the 12th century, when the Normans arrived in Ireland, Dunamase became one of the most important Anglo-Norman strongholds in Laois.
Strong downwinds push the mist lying on the mountain plateau over the edge of the rock and form spectacular cloud formations over the Quiraing.
