The red squirrel arrives at a tree branch where it can sit down and eat the pine cone transported in its mouth.
Going through some old film from trips in Europe and came across this. A lone, mysterious man with red square to himself in the dead of a russian winter.
I like the romanticism of the pic. If you have a decent res, best seen large.

Red Dress - Thoughtful: My wife volunteered to model so that I could do more experiments with the wireless flashes. Re-editing some older photos to match my more recent styles.
"We know that God is everywhere; but certainly we feel His presence most when His works are on the grandest scale spread before us; and it is in the unclouded night-sky, where His worlds wheel their silent course, that we read clearest His infinitude, His omnipotence, His omnipresence."

Here's an image of a Red Shouldered Hawk. I took this today at Myakka River State Park. I saw this hawk sitting beside the road and when I stopped to take it's photo, it just flew away. I got out of the truck and followed it around to the tree in which it landed. This is hand held with the 70-200mm f 2.8 lens. A few minutes earlier, I was way back in the woods and I cranked the ISO up to 800. A little much for this shot, but I was so excited to see the bird, I forgot to turn the ISO back down.
I haven't photographed a hawk in a long time so...
I hope ya'll like it!

Red Deer (Cervus elaphus) Picture from the National Park De Hoge Veluwe, Netherlands.
The Red Deer is the largest land mammal in the Netherlands with the males standing 1070137 cm at the shoulder and weighing 90-190 kg. This was a superb evening!
A woman sits alone on the beach on a warm, hazy December day, interrupting the layers of nature with a punctuation of bright, bold red.
Photographed using a Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 manual focus lens, processed in Lightroom with VSCO Film 04 presets, and mild iris blurring in Photoshop.

Weathered red door and wall, Lower Manhattan
Yes, I'm a sucker for doors, weathered stuff, and bright colors. During the last week of 2017 we were in New York City, staying in Lower Manhattan and traveling all over from there, at times getting to Brooklyn and Queens. While those longer forays involved subway and cars, we also walked... a lot. New York City is, or at least can be, quite a walking city. I recall the first time I visited as an adult, and being surprised to find that people walked much more there than in California where I live. Having said that, walking there in winter can be a bit daunting, though it didn't stop us. For most of our visit New York was in the grip of a cold spell, with daytime temperatures only making it into the lower 20 degree range, and on some days not "warming" up even that much. We found that we could bundle up, try to avoid windy spots, walk briskly, and when we got too cold... duck into a coffee shop or restaurant to warm back up.
I made this photograph on one of these walks. The specific location seems unimportant, but it wasn't too far from wall street — though this scene hardly looks like it comes from a financial center! We headed north on a meandering path that took us east of Wall Street and away from the main, busy area. I was in street photographer mode, working a small camera with a single small prime lens, so I made the photograph more or less "on the move," likely pausing only a few seconds to squeeze off a couple of frames before continuing to walk.

a continuation of trials (and errors) of this upside down wine shot called "wine not yet sppilled" or as Sally said, "hang over"
Today a bit better results, but still.........not that good. what i changed, mostly watering down the wine 1/4 wine to 3/4 water, you will see two shades of wine in this series, the darker one was 1/2 wine and 1/2 water, no good too dark! the other version is too light, have to be in between.
I really have to go get some new plexi glass or glass pieces for bases, as the foamboards just right away look too dirty and damaged once you touch them.
sorry i have only 1 setup shot, as tere were obvious 2 different set ups but forgot to take the other one.

She rises from the heat of her own making — not myth, but mirror. Inferna captures Lucy in a dramatic fine art portrait where red becomes an element of transformation. Through bold studio lighting, sculptural posing, and cinematic composition, the image embodies the fusion of beauty and strength in contemporary female portraiture. This editorial fine art photograph merges glamour and mythology, celebrating color, confidence, and the artistry of light.

Monorail Red near the completion of its journey to the EPCOT Center monorail station.
The goal of this image was to get the nose and tail of the monorail as it rounded the curve so that the nose is under the track. I sort of succeeded and will have to try again.
Thanks for looking. I appreciate feedback!
