One of a few permanent residents, due to the nature of their injuries, this beautiful red-tailed hawk now calls Wesselman Woods Nature Preserve home. His left wing was injured by buckshot and following surgery is now shorter than his right.

We went to Allan's Beach on Otago Peninsula yesterday afternoon and along the way I spotted this lovely old boat shed on the edge of the inlet.

It's much better bigger so try it ~Large On Black~

Cross Process Experience

попробовав фишку cross proccessing, трудно потом от нее отказаться - результат впечатляет. можно вытянуть практически безнадежные вещи (это фотка не из таких:)) / once you aplly the cross processing tool to your photos, it becomes pretty hard not to use it again and again. the result is impressive.

Red-footed Falcon

Red-footed Falcon (Falco vespertinus) is listed as Near Threatened because it is experiencing a moderately rapid population decline.

This first summer male is a very rare sighting in the UK and we were told it's an extreme rarity in our West Midland region.

This species of falcon breeds in a band that stretches east from Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary through Russia as far as the Lena River. The European population is estimated at between 23,000 and 55,000 pairs with around 90% of these breeding in Ukraine and Russia. The main wintering areas are in Botswana, southwest Africa, South Africa and western Zimbabwe.
