Het kruispunt Spui / Grote Marktstraat / Kalvermarkt is momenteel onherkenbaar door de afbraak van het markante hoekgebouw waar vroeger - boven de AH - een gedeelte van het ministerie van defensie was gevesstigd. Hier komt nieuwbouw voor in de plaats. Winkels en appartementen.
Op 4 plaatsen in dit drukke winkelcentrum vinden momenteel grote sloop- en bouwactiviteiten plaats. Tot (ver in) 2014 zal dit dus een vertrouwd beeld zijn.
Ik zal proberen van de andere bouwputten ook zo'n soort impressie te maken. Dit beeld komt later nooit meer terug.

I tried several different setups, but all gave more light than I wanted, so ended up with a regular 100 watt bulb, back right, through an umbrella, through a space between black background and black sides. I also originally planned to make it black and white, but in the end preferred the color version.

Another iris that recently bloomed in my garden. Both my Nikon and iPhone can't really capture the color of the flower. It's a beautiful ox blood red.

a few red squirrels from yesterdays great day out with 'Chris Macloughlin' and 'black cat photos'..this one is bouncing a ball..haha..we had two of these wet squirrels chasing each other around for a few hours in the rain, this pale coloured one and a much darker brown little fellow, great fun watching them but hard to get a good action shot as the light was very bad. this at 1/80 sec iso 500

The title is a little play on words - spotted this red dragonfly and it reminded me of the Red Baron - so decided on the title above!

This seems strange that on a holiday, you would go to a cemetery... twice. But this was to photograph the Red Squirrels that are resident there and wild. They are apparently becoming more and more tame... these came to within a few metres.

These two males I believe are adults after checking their coloring in the Field Guide book. This was taken last year in January on the waterfront in Perth Amboy. I had never seen them before and they didn't spook I spent hrs watching them over a 3 day span.They would swim,preen,and dive under the water and then do the wing flap thing is was a amazing sight to see. And then one day when I went back there was only one left .and that one stayed even have a picture of it on the dock resting in the snow.
