Casi dos años han pasado desde que en este mismo lugar captase a una unidad hermana de la que aquí vemos.

Darlington Railway Station, County Durham, England
Its been a little while since I uploaded a photo, I have noticed that Flickr has moved some things around on the photostream page and I quite like it.
Anyway, a photo a taken bit more local to me and during a quick visit up to Darlington Station. It is a wonderful station and very similar architecturally to York and Newcastle stations. Darlington station is going through some regeneration and will be a welcome addition to what is already a stunning station.
This was taken just over 2 years ago, the trains at the time were still relativity quiet due to the pandemic etc hence the empty platforms. It's very surreal to see photos like this, especially as our trains are just getting busier and busier all the time now.
Hope you are all having a good start of the week.
In lieu of an OBB Railjet, here we see 11301 working an extrazug from Sargans to Zurich on the afternoon of the 11/12/16. I am not sure what happened to the OBB Railjet on the day in question.

Here we see hired-in locomotive 193730 passing through Stubing on the morning of the 26/2/22 working EC151 from Wien Hbf to Ljubljana
Here we see 90002 propelling the 16:21 special relief service from Manchester Piccadilly to Euston (1Z96) just as the sun was setting on the evening of the 17/9/22, which was captured near Hillmorton, Warwickshire.
Earlier workings in the day could not be snapped due to the position of the sun for that time of day.
A classic afternoon shot from this location - here we see OBB Taurus locomotive 1216 006 (E190 006) working EC85 from Munich to Venezia Santa Lucia on the afternoon of the 17/2/23. The train was captured in Matrei am Brenner.
A new spot to try out and following a period of rain and snow, the clouds started to break at lunchtime on the 11/2/22. Here we see DB Cargo locomotive Traxx 185114 hauling cargo wagons towards Sargans (it is assumed that this freight went to Buchs?)

Aldwych Underground Station (Formally Strand Underground Station), London, England
This is one of my own personal favourite London Underground images I have taken since taking up photography. I got this rare opportunity to explore the Ghost station Aldwych as part of a tour organised by the London Transport Museum and what was even more lucky there was an old style Tube train there, so I couldn't resist in taking a photo of two relics, the old station and the old style Tube train.
Aldwych closed in 1994 and was part of the Piccadilly Line. It closed due to the lack of passengers using it and the old lifts were ageing and would have cost millions to modernise the station so it was closed and it had been left in the state it was in on the day it closed.
There is something very eerie and unusual about an empty and human-less tube station, can't quite put my finger on it what it is but I think its so far removed for everyday normality I don't think it sits well with our imagination sometimes but for me I think its great.
For those who are interested in going on a tour they do a couple every year but do get booked up very quickly so keep your eye on this link below and book them ASAP, you will not be disappointed!

Location Information
Aldwych is a closed station on the London Underground, located in the City of Westminster in central London. It was opened in 1907 with the name Strand, after the street on which it is located, and was the terminus and only station on the short Piccadilly line branch from Holborn that was a relic of the merger of two railway schemes. The station building is close to the junction of Strand and Surrey Street, near Aldwych. During its lifetime, the branch was the subject of a number of unrealised extension proposals that would have seen the tunnels through the station extended southwards, usually to Waterloo.
Served by a shuttle train for most of their life and suffering from low passenger numbers, the station and branch were considered for closure several times. A weekday peak hours-only service survived until closure in 1994, when the cost of replacing the lifts was considered too high compared to the income generated.
Disused parts of the station and the running tunnels were used during both World Wars to shelter artworks from London's public galleries and museums from bombing.
The station has long been popular as a filming location and has appeared as itself and as other London Underground stations in a number of films. In recognition of its historical significance, the station is a Grade II listed building.

For the unit fans out there - here we see an SBB class RABe502 unit with vehicles 502016 (front) 502402 (rear) passes through Immensee with IC684 from Lugano to Basel via Luzern. With traffic flows very light, there was very little else about to photograph, i made the exception of snapping a unit.

At the tail end of a 3 week trip by train to Europe, Prague was visited briefly. After walking 45minutes, this new spot was checked out to see how the pictures would turn out despite the unsettled conditions.
Anyway, on the bitterly cold unsettled afternoon of the 26/2/23, here we see CD Pendolino 682005 working the 13:34 service from Praha hl.n to Ostrava *SC507)
New lineside spot - here we see TXLogistik locomotives 185684 (front) and 185696 (rear) make the final approach to Bischoshofen station on the morning of the 8/2/20 with a loaded intermodal bound for Italy.
QUBE 3AM6 grinding uphill to Sleeps Hill tunnel with QBX001 leading QBX005 plus GML10! The Adelaide city skyline can be seen in the distance with splashes of jacaranda in the suburbs! This location was literally in my backyard for 5 years but I rarely took it on film because the light was often too harsh or there were too many shadows when the trains ran, and the trains ran on the RH track back then! Today with digital photography, anything is possible! Dec 3, 2019
One of my own photographs taken at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway in June 1979.
I used a Pentax MX 35mm camera and Ilford HP5 black and white negative film.

ЭК ВНИИЖТ - PRO MOTION.EXPO 2019
First time of trying this spot which had been on the to do list for a while. Unfortunately, this was the only interesting working that passed during my visit - most passenger trains are now units, which is very disappointing.
Anyway, here we see OBB Taurus locomotive 1116 206 propelling RJX160 from Bratislava to Zurich on the afternoon of the 11/2/22.
With snow still on the ground from an earlier snowfall, we see OBB Taurus 1016 044 round the curve in St Jodok with a ROLA lorry freight train heading north to Worgl. For info, 1016 006 could be found on the rear for banking purposes.

Leeds Station, West Yorkshire, England
The fog the morning I took this photo was amazing, I always have my little Ricoh GRIII camera with me everyday to take photos like this.
The fog hadn't quite made it into the station biut if you look closely the train slow departs into the fog at the end of the platform.
Super glad I went for the low POV as it shows a different perspective to what you normally have and I always find Leeds station quite difficult to get decent photos from.
Anyway, hope you all have a great week!
Not tried this part of the Einigen location before - anyway here we see SBB loco's 420286 & 620071 with an intermodal train on the 25/8/17.
Here we see MRCE locomotive 189993 passing through Oberwessel on the afternoon of the 28/2/23 with a loaded intermodal enroute towards Mainz and beyond. The train was routed this side of the Rhine on the day in question due to engineering work.
Urnieta.
Here we see OBB Taurus locomotive 1016 020 on the outskirts of Matrei am Brenner on the 17/2/22 with a loaded ROLA service from Worgl North Terminal to Brenner. For information 1293 004 was on the rear of this consist providing extra horsepower.

Considered to be the Champs Elysees of the city, this grand street is filled with shops, hotels, and, along the way, remarkable architecture.
San Francisco's Municipal Railway has assembled one of the most diverse collections of vintage streetcars, trolleys, and trams in transit service anywhere. Up to 20 of these vintage vehicles carry passengers along Market Street and The Embarcadero every day.
No.1059
Boston Elevated Railway
Built 1948 • Operational • Tribute livery
No U.S. city has had longer or more varied experience with PCC streetcars than Boston. From the delivery of its first streamliner in 1937 until the present day, PCCs have been a part of the Beantown scene. That single PCC was ordered by private operator Boston Elevated Railway Company (BERy) and was followed by 20 more in 1941. No. 1059 is painted in tribute to the BERy era of PCC operation in Boston.
