East Broadtop Railroad (EBT).
Mount Union, PA.
Given the extensive foot traffic and well-worn paths in the area, I carefully made my way a little closer to get the perspective on the hopper cars that I wanted.

I acquired this strange camera recently, when the vendor made an offer I couldn't refuse. "Aren't you going to bargain with me? Let's start here... " This specimen did not function, but hasty research suggested it may be an issue with sticky gears in its unique spring wound clockwork drive. This image page will be where I collect information and observations in an ongoing effort to get it working again.
The sticker? The too-high-for-me initial price and initials of Physics prof. Doug B., who had consigned several obsolete photographic items hoping they would find new homes.
This Thursday walk was not an epic trudge across the bitter, windswept steppes. But the mud and snow provided an equally dreary landscape to explore. Fortunately for me there were late fallen leaves and twigs under freshly fallen sleet and snow.
The venue... is not large.
The crowd... is weighted
with friends and family.
But God I love the music.
The flow of tones.
The syncopated staccato
of tabla, snare and base,
While my old telecaster
weaves in and out.
This sonic art

Utata's Iron Photographer 227 is due tomorrow. The requisite elements that must appear reside above my desk:
1 - something translucent
2 - something personally meaningful to you
3 - over-exposed
My first thought was that it should be polaroid style, but the Poladroid app gruesomely red-shifted everything.

I was cleaning the driveway and noticed a curl of snow, sculpted by the wind. I grabbed a candle and tried to use it for Utata's Iron Photographer challenge 277, which asks for compositions with:
1. Something jagged
2. A flame
3 Bookmark orientation (2:1 or greater aspect ratio)
Technical Trivia:
Detail in the snow was enhanced with Topaz Restyle (The Lighthouse Glow preset, 70% normal blending mode).

Utata's iron photographer 322 asks for photos with:
1. Something used for a past-time or hobby (music/instrument)
2. Something which smells good (a nutmeg)
3. A dreamy processing style (Analog EFX toy camera8 +zoom blur)
I initially thought like Don Martin, of a guitarist shaving nutmeg by playing guitar, but couldn't figure out how to make the shavings satisfyingly obvious. Perhaps coffee grounds would work as a substitute. And that chord being played? It is the chimping on the camera screen/dropping the remote, fiddling with the pose blues standard. Of course.

Background
A stationary camera shows a static background with a subject changing position in successive exposures. Muybridge's motion studies, in contrast, simulate a moving camera and show an effectively stationary subject against a moving background. These may be displayed as a polyptych or combined into multiple exposures on a single frame, as here, to emphasize the subject.
Technical Trivia
Three images were scaled for maximal congruency of the pedestrian then stacked. Color was enhanced as indicated below, then with DFT Filmstocks (Kodachrome 25). See below for penultimate images which were blended to give this result.

美的対象として、脚は、案外に維持管理が楽である。
通常の生活で、脚の形体が急激に劣化することは稀である。
しかし、長期の運動不足や激太りや激やせなどには、注意が必要である。
加えて、事故による骨折、熱傷など物理的外傷を受けた場合、完全な原状復帰は難しいことが多いだろう。だが、これは脚に限らないことだ。
