The world seems in focus but the student cycling past has a less clear future these days.
Processing note: Contrast enhanced with DXO filmpack (Rollei Retro 80s preset) and a homemade Daidoish adjustment (blacks increased and whites decreased in curves to clip blacks and blow highlights).
Stefan Jansson frequently visits That Old Tree, and this one is beginning to feel similarly like a friend of mine. It's in many images, even if not actually shared yet.

A few people have strongly suggested that there is a necessary attribute to the gentleman Moe genre. I believed their words and tried to illustrate it in my own way.
They said needed elements of a gentleman with the juvenile girl attribute are "beard, anxious mood, quietude, and long hair".

アイコンではバックを青系にしているのだけれど、今回は個人的に白バックのバージョンが好き。

In the icon, I used a blue background, but this time I like the white background version.

I finished last details in three of four wallhangings I have been working on for several months yesterday, so that I could photograph them. . Later I'll post details and sizes for the curious and similarly needle- addicted amongst you... and decide on titles.
The first one is the complete remake of a piece I first made 9 years ago....it was fading and sagging...and now I like it again.
The other two are smaller pieces in which I have used a lot of bits and pieces of found objects from my walks, and from hidden corners in my piles of odds and ends, and broken bits...and junk carefully presented to me by some thoughtful friends.. ( a third piece still needs some problems worked out...and isn't ready for the camera...)
These activities keep me busy, and off the street for a while....and happy with the fun !

ずいぶん昔に自分で作詞作曲したゴスペルをイメージして描いたものです。
イラストのの色味は色々模索はしているものの、こういう淡い色合いが個人的には好きだなぁ。
I drew this illustration with the image of a gospel song I wrote myself a long time ago.
I personally like this kind of light coloring, although I have been searching for different color tones for my illustrations.

というわけで、オウムさんとインコくんの擬人化イラスト。個人的にはもっとパンチのある人外にしたかったんだけどな。
今後のわたしに期待しよう。
Today, 15 June is Parrot and Parakeet Day in Japan.
So I drew an anthropomorphic illustration of Mr. Parrot and Mr. Parrot. As for me, I wanted to make them more punchy, non-human characters.
Let's hope for my future.

This is my new release for epiphany, something really really different this time. This is your cute drone companion. I imagine the future, a pet drone that everyone will get and then ,with the magnetics attachments make it their own, adding painting, ears, tails, using pop reference etc. So here are a bunch of the examples. 14 to collect, the drone will hover at your side over the shoulder, you can touch it and change the expresions (5 available). Hope you like it and have a fun time with them, that with everything happening everywhere we need a little of fun and relax. Stay safe everyone!

The flat, dull original was enhanced in Topaz Restyle using the palette from a cross-processed image of stained glass to brighten the reflection on the pavement and darken the person while maintaining some separation from the grass.
This image reminded me of the nebulously defined aesthetic of Felt Life before its founder and several admins abandoned the group and, in many cases, Flickr. There are now 362,000 images in the pool - many of them simply dumped. But if you head back to circa 2007 images (well past page 2900) you can have a glimpse of what was intended.
Pawlings farm mansion ruins, Valley Forge national park in Pennsylvania. Herd to believe this camera is going on 12 years old and still working. A comparable used replacement would cost more today than this did when new but on clearance.

It was fun because it's definitely an atmosphere I wouldn't draw myself. Just the feeling that I'm drawing for someone else changes the way I use the line. Good tension is great.

This Subtractive Filter Harris Shutter Effect image was constructed from three successive frames after warping/registering static details on the background. Moving elements gave colored ghosts, while camera wobble generated additional background details.

I got out just as the fog was clearing, but managed a few low-contrast shots before it was gone.
Technical trivia:
The camera was in EXR mode, providing reliable focus but only JPG files. The image was enhanced in Topaz Restyle, replacing the palette with the "penetrating silver" preset.
A camera stabilized on a moving handrail took photos as as people passed on the other walkway.

Technical Trivia :
The Harris shutter effect, done digitally, combines color layers from three different photographs. Things that move between exposures appear as colored ghosts.

The RAW was contrast enhanced by a Daidoish curve adjustment, to crush black and blow highlights, microcontrast and fine contrast increased to about +30, exposure increased to about +0.80.

A knob on an old Crosley radio, handled in the distant past by someone with paint on their fingertips, with only some of the dust normally residing there. For scale: the knob is a bit less than an inch across.
Processing note: This camera needs noise reduction. I used DXO prime. Toning and vignetting via Color Efex (Film Efex vintage 07 - saturated fade preset).
