美的対象として、脚は、案外に維持管理が楽である。
通常の生活で、脚の形体が急激に劣化することは稀である。
しかし、長期の運動不足や激太りや激やせなどには、注意が必要である。
加えて、事故による骨折、熱傷など物理的外傷を受けた場合、完全な原状復帰は難しいことが多いだろう。だが、これは脚に限らないことだ。

Yodography - Portmanteau of Yoda Photography
"Do or do not. There is no try" Yoda, the Empire strikes back.
Sometimes I have thought about a photo I would like to take but, for limitations of time, film, or something else I have to stop before I get it. I have only one or two chances to get it right. These images I whimsically categorize as Yodography so I can, much later, determine what went differently than my idea and whether it was better or worse for it.

Camera Details:
1980-s era QL17-GIII with stuck shutter and stuck timer serviced by Alex Bonarski (rangefindercamera on ebay). Within three weeks he had fully CLAed (including timer cleaning and battery update) , replaced a defective lens element (for which he had spares to sell) and returned the camera with a one year warranty. Highly recommended!

This was painted from my friend John, largely based on photos I took at his house under electric light, hence the rather orange tone. I feel it to be a good likeness of John.
The camera and the artist (set) about the relationship between photographic images and those painted. I hope to use examples from my own practice where photography has been used in both photo-realistic work as well as illustration and other art-forms.
I have used a number of artists whose work I have studied and look at the way photography informed and influenced their visual expression.
As I have scanned a lot of my old work I'm well aware that photography has played and still plays a significant role for me as an artist, indeed in recent years these two practices have overlapped and are no longer distinct paths.
Iron Photographer challenge 210 elicits compositions with:
1 - a bowl (a mortar, in this case)
2 - something broken (a book with a broken spine)
3 - photographed simply
This, the second effort, highlighted the defective spine and simplified background details with shallow depth of field.

The last big storm of the winter arrived late, on April 14. We couldn't resist a walk during the heaviest snowfall. I selected a slow shutter speed, hoping for blurred snow and/or figures on a white background. This was intentionally overexposed.
An empty cup fungus reminded me of a dish served in a pretentious restaurant, so I added a leafy garnish for presentation.
The "bowl" is an old bird's nest fungus, approximately 4-mm across, resting on a lichen encrusted twig.
