A 'Diablito' mask from the Boruca tribe (indigenous to the south Pacific coast of Costa Rica) that I picked up at the Galeria Namu in San Jose.
Canon 580EX on a stand low camera right, and behind the mask fired back towards it. handheld gold reflector to camera left put some light back onto the mask, and a handheld white foamcore board used camera right to add a little extra fill on the right side.
Brenda's craft this week was to make animal masks. The kids did a great job of decorating their masks and they looked so cute wearing them!

Folded from a 12 inch sheet of 80 lb circa select paper.
This paper turned out not to be very good for wet folding. I had to stop shaping since the paper was tearing in multiple places.
Day 72 - The mask
Today there is a small report about Saturday. Early in the morning we came back from Lüneburg and went to sleep quickly. Only 2,5 hours later, Oliver had to get up again. The work called... Photoshooting with two beautiful female models in the photostudio. Lidia was also there, as make up artist, and has made the women more beautiful than they were anyway. The shooting lasted almost 5 hours... and it was really great and a lot of fun. The mask is only one part of the shooting. Today we have edited only a few pictures and chilled the rest of the day. I wish you a great beginning of the week.
Heute gibt es hier einen kleinen Bericht über Samstag. Früh morgens kamen wir aus Lüneburg zurück und sind schnell schlafen gegangen. Nur 2,5 Stunden später musste Oliver wieder aufstehen. Die Arbeit rief... Fotoshooting mit zwei hübschen weiblichen Modellen im Fotostudio. Lidia war auch dabei, als Make Up Artist und hat die Damen noch hübscher gemacht, als sie sowieso schon waren. Das Shooting dauerte fast 5 Stunden... und es war wirklich toll und hat viel Spaß gemacht. Die Maske ist nur ein Bestandteil des Shootings. Am heutigen Tag haben wir nur ein paar Aufnahmen bearbeitet und den Rest des Tages gechillt. Ich wünsche einen schönen Wochenanfang.
