These 9 year olds were looking at sight and vision so we decided to create our own crazy glasses and masks. They were all so individual, just like the kids!

Masks have a long cultural tradition in Iñupiat society. At the Northwest Arctic Heritage Center Junior Rangers program, local kids got a chance to bring that tradition to life and make their own masks.

My Origami mask no 3

Mask used to immobilize a patient's head and upper torso. It is tailor made for each patient and fits really tight. The person I accompanied to the hospital had too much trouble breathing the first time it was put on. With the assistance of a radiology doctor it was fitted again and irradiation was successful, a dose of 300 cGy (centigrays), the third fraction of a total 1600 cGy dose.

I've been on an irregular sleep pattern for awhile. I fell asleep around 11pm and woke up at 2am. And I'm still up! Ugh...

I'll be using my favorite sleep mask when I finally drift back to slumber land.
