35028 Clan Line on the long straight near Pirton crossing with the Railway Touring Company's "Cotswold Venturer" 21/08/2021
On 26th July 2011 B61 and 4716 are on the eastern or Riverstone end of a spoil train near Vineyard. 4702 and 4701 are on the other end.
From inside the the Riverfront Streetcar looking down the Line. Just as we pass the crossing street two pedestrians cross the tracks without loosing stride. The Riverfront Line does not actually run on the banks of the Mississippi, just parallel to the mighty river.

Frost evaporating out in the fields the other morning; this crow was enjoying hopping across the misty furrows
The one line that separates here and there.
That line that always look as a barrier for me.
Un passable – as if always between
Myself and the places I wanted
To be in.
This illusive line that is oh so
Clear and fine – almost
like an obvious thing.
And one day I'm looking and
Loo and behold – I'm over it.
I'm where I wanted to be,
But the line? Is gone.
Erased by the waves of life as
If it has never been.
Or has it ever been?
Mongolian second railway line Bayantumen - Ereentsav. This 240km's long railway is located in far-east Mongolia and the line is directly connected to the far-eastern part of Russian Railways (Trans-Manchuria railway) and Borzya city. Train traffic is lower but very interesting, twice in a week freight-passenger mixed train and some short freight train runs with an old TEM2 shunter locomotive. The line had been in Soviet time used for mainly transporting uranium from Mardai mines and was considered as a Military strategical secret railway. Now, this railway line is open and normally working since collapsing of the Soviet Union and still uses semaphores and tokens in the signalization system.

Two former Soo Line GP9s rest outside of the grain elevators in New Ulm, MN. Originally built for passenger trains, these units still retain their 'torpedo' tubes, and faded Soo Line paint. The pair of locomotives have an uncertain fate; they are currently sitting dead, stakes capped, and listed for sale.

Arawacus leucogyna FELDER & FELDER, 1865
(Narrow-lined Hairstreak / Tecla rayada)
Arawacus leucogyna is distributed from Belize to Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Peru. This species is found in forest edge habitats. Males perch on the foliage of shrubs and saplings at trail intersections. Forewing: 16 mm.
There are 18 species of Arawacus, all confined to the neotropical region. All have a similar pattern of brown or black stripes radiating from the tornus of the hindwing and terminating at points along the forewing costa.
The pattern serves to divert the eye of birds away from the butterfly's head and body, and towards the 'false antennae' tails. Immediately after settling, the butterfly characteristically gyrates to face in the opposite direction and dips its head. It then slowly oscillates the hindwings, causing the tails to wiggle, which further acts to focus the observer's attention on the rear of the butterfly.

Coal traffic is still heavy on the Mon Line as southbound empties pass another train of empties at North Charleroi. The trio of SD60Es were tied down with the C74, while a pair of SD70ACes lead the N11 south. Pretty cool to get a pair of GE-less NS trains in the same frame in 2022.

Interesting is the way, the spider makes the filament sticky: It covers it whilst spinning with a protein glue film. The glue breakes up by surface tension to a pattern of bigger and smaller droplets.
