Dr.Mihir Kumar Panda, an Educational, Societal and Scientific Innovator has established an NGO 'SROSTI' at Bahanaga, Balasore,Odisha,India
Dr. panda has innovated/invented more than 10,000 (ten thousand) teaching aids and different innovations and he has more than 30,000 (Thirty thousand) ideas to make scientific and mathematical models.
His creations are very essential guide for school and college science exhibitions, innovative learning and play way method for the teachers and students, science activists, innovators, craftsmen, farmers, masons, physically challenged persons, common men, entrepreneurs and industrialists.
He is popularizing science through song, innovative demonstrations and motivational speech since 1990 in different parts of Odisha state without taking any fees.
Dr. Panda is an extreme motivational speaker in science and possess magical scientific demonstration and a crowd puller.
Innovator Mihir Kumar Panda loves nature and in his agricultural farm he does not uses the chemicals , fertilizers and pesticides. In his farm even the smallest creatures like snakes, caterpillar, white ants, worms ,vermies are in peace and are managed successfully not to do harm.
Dr. Panda is an Educationist, an environmentalist, a poet for science popularization, a good orator, a best resource person to train others in specific field of science and engineering.
The uniqueness of Simple Innovation and scientific activities and achievements ofDr. Panda can not be assessed without visiting his laboratory which is a living wonder in the realm of science.
From a small cake cutter to mechanical scissor, from a play pump to rickshaw operated food grain spreader and from a village refrigerator to a multi-purpose machine, thousands of such inventions and innovations are proof of Dr. Panda's brilliance.
From a tube well operated washing machine to weight sensitive food grain separator, from a password protected wardrobe to automatic screen, from a Dual face fan to electricity producing fan are example of few thousands of innovations and inventions of Mihir Kumar Panda.
Dr.Mihir Kumar Panda though bestowed to a popular name as Einstein of Odisha is obliviously treated as Thomas Alva Edison of India.
Dr. Panda's residential house also resembles a museum with scientific innovations of different shapes and sizes stacked in every nook and cranny which proves his scientific involvement in personal life.
Innovator Panda believes that , the best thing a child can do with a toy to break it. he also believes that by Educating child in his/her choice subject/ passion a progressive nation can be built.
The shelf made scientist Dr. Panda believes that Education is a life long process whose scope is far greater than school curriculum. The moulding of models/ innovations done by hand always better than the things heard and the facts incorporated in the books.
With no agricultural background, Dr. Panda has developed unique natural bonsai in his Vijnana Bana Ashram which also shows path for earning just by uprooting and nurturing the plants which are found to be small and thumb in nature.
Dr. Panda's Scientific Endeavour and research is no doubt praise worthy. One cannot but believe his dedicated effort in simple innovation laboratory.
Social service, innovation/ inventions, writing, free technology to students for preparation of science exhibition projects, free technology to common men for their sustainability, preparation of big natural bonsai, technology for entrepreneurs and industrialists for innovative item are few works of Mihir Kumar Panda after his Government service.

Every year, 12,000 women in Pakistan die of birth complications. The Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) Services Component, implemented by MCHIP/Jhpiego, aims at preventing maternal, newborn, and child deaths by ensuring skilled birth attendance (SBA) through a total market approach, empowered community, timely referral of obstetric and neonatal complications to an emergency obstetric and newborn care (EmONC) facility, and improved access to child care.
Lack of electricity in remote areas is a major issue that often leads to obstetric complications and newborn deaths. Refrigerated storage is vital for the effectiveness of life saving drugs and vaccines. Ice boxes are used in remot areas of this purpose but it is an ineffective method especially when easy availability of ice is a problem. To overcome these issues, Lodhie Foundation in association with Maternal and Child Health Integrated Program/JHPIEGO, extended its Kavalcare program and provided a Solar Powered System to a remote clinic located at village Haji Usman Jhakro near Makli, District Thatta. System provides sufficient power to operate a small refrigerator, a fan and 3 lamps 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. It was designed, manufactured and installed by Shaan Technologies private Limited Karachi. After installation of Solar System in August 2014, this small remote clinic is serving a community of 10,000 plus persons who lives in village Haji Usman and surrounding areas. On an average 10 patients visits this clinic each day. Clinic also provides up to 15 birth attendance and new born care in a month.

Juba, 9 November 2022 – At a press briefing held at the UNMISS headquarters in Juba, South Sudan, today, Under-Secretary-General for UN Peace Operations, Jean-Pierre Lacroix, urged signatories to the Revitalized Peace Agreement to redouble their efforts at implementing all outstanding benchmarks contained within this 2018 peace deal. USG Lacroix’s views were echoed by the Secretary-General’s Chef de Cabinet, Courtenay Rattray. Both high-ranking UN officials have concluded a four-day visit to South Sudan where they engaged with political actors, women’s groups, humanitarians, the donor community, and peacekeepers.

Una vez coordinado el operativo para el ingreso de la vivienda, fue posible asegurar a un sujeto más; al interior de la casa, se encontró a otra víctima que había sido privada de su libertad un día antes y de la cual la Subprocuraduría Especializada en Investigación de Delincuencia Organizada (SEIDO), de la Procuraduría General de la República, había tomado conocimiento.
Los probables responsables responden los nombres de Ángel Martín Ramírez Evia del Puerto, de 26 años de edad; Erik Gabriel Vázquez Servín de 22 años de edad, ambos originarios del Estado de México y Francisca Zúñiga Flores de 35 años de edad, originaria de Sinaloa.
November 18, 2010 - "Roles for Third Parties in Improving Implementation of EPA's and OSHA's Regulations on the Management of Low-Probability, High-Consequence Process Safety Risks" - Penn Program on Regulation, in conjunction with the Wharton Risk Management Center, hosted a conference regarding the usage of third party auditors in the enforcement of regulatory safety measures in high risk industries. Industries which experts call "Low-Probability, High-Consequence," such as nuclear reactors, oil refineries, or chemical processing plants, are specifically hoped to be improved by third party inspections safety. The conference brought together numerous participants from a variety of fields, including from government, industry, insurance, academia, and non-profit sectors. The conference consisted of a day-long discussion spread over three separate panels. Over the course of the conference, participants stressed the importance of implementing a third party system to effectively and thoroughly audit industry despite lack of adequate funds and resources. Other potential scenarios offered for enacting effective third party auditing included making sure that these third party auditors were completely independent from the industries they would be inspecting so as to eliminate bias or a conflict of interest. Another issue to consider is the question of whose authority would the third party auditors be under and what kind of enforcement power would they have to enforce industry change. One of the panel discussions brought up the potential linkage of third party audits with insurance companies so as to provide an incentive for industry to decrease safety risks in order to pay lower insurance premiums. Workshop participants included Isadore "Irv" Rosenthal, a Senior Research Fellow at the Wharton Risk Management and Decision Processes Center; Howard Kunreuther, James G. This high level side event organized at the helm of the 72nd Session of the UN General Assembly continues to advocate the nature of the 2030 Agenda—‘country-led and country-owned,’ as reflected during the UNDG high level event during the HLPF 2017 earlier this year.
UN Deputy Secretary-General, Ms. Amina J. Mohammed in her key note remarks stated, “We have hit the SDGs walking – not yet running – and we need to pick up the pace. Progress will only be achieved through genuine and meaningful partnerships.”
Host of the event, Mr. Achim Steiner, the UNDG Chair and the Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) said, "In the SDGs we have found a common language in identifying the challenges and opportunities in development. We need new partnerships- we need investment bankers to work with rural farmers, policy makers with activists."
The side event also marked the launch of the 2016 UNDG results report: Lift Off: Agenda 2030—Shared Results of the UNDG in 2016. The new report captures the collective results and impact achieved by the UN Development System through 131 UN Country Teams supporting 165 countries and territories, as well as by the UNDG at the regional and global levels. En un verdadero atractivo para los amantes del deporte y del público en general se convertirá durante esta temporada estival la Playa del Deporte 2013, hermoso recinto deportivo al aire libre que por sexto año consecutivo implementó la Municipalidad de Viña del Mar, a través de la Casa del Deporte.
La Playa del Deporte, situada frente al Club de Campo Las Salinas, fue oficialmente inaugurada este lunes por la alcaldesa Virginia Reginato, quien en compañía de los concejales Mafalda Reginato, Jaime Varas y del director de la Casa del Deporte, Javier Aravena además de invitados especiales y deportistas procedieron al tradicional corte de cinta.
Durante la ceremonia la primera autoridad comunal junto con mostrarse complacida por entregar a la comunidad esta nueva alternativa veraniega, hizo un llamado a la ciudadanía y a los miles de turistas que visitan Viña del Mar a concurrir a la Playa del Deporte para disfrutar de las diversas canchas que fueron habilitadas para la ocasión.
“La Playa del Deporte, se ha convertido durante sus seis temporadas en una experiencia muy positiva y enriquecedora para los habitantes de Viña del Mar y los turistas, que hacen de la actividad física y la recreación momentos relevantes en sus vacaciones. Al habilitar nuevamente este emblemático espacio de recreación, sana convivencia y espíritu deportivo, reiteramos nuestro compromiso con el deporte para todos los grupos etáreos de la comunidad, mostrando un nuevo rostro, pues ahora se complementada con la Quinta Etapa del Parque Borde Costero, donde existen modernas máquinas para hacer ejercicios, permitiendo una continuidad y mayor presencia de público en las actividades y talleres”, dijo la alcaldesa Virginia Reginato.
Por su parte el vicepresidente de la Federación de Tenis de Chile, José Santelices, a nombre de las diversas entidades que estarán presente durante el verano en la Playa del Deporte, destacó la iniciativa implementada en Viña del Mar, además de su continuidad resaltando el gran trabajo deportivo que se ha realizado en diversos sectores de la comuna.
Terminadas sus palabras el dirigente del tenis chileno, le obsequió a la jefa comunal una paleta de tenis beach.
Finalmente el director de la Casa del Deporte, Javier Aravena indicó que “en la Playa del Deporte se llevaran a cabo una serie de eventos entre los que destacan el Torneo de Rugby 5, el Campeonato Nacional de Fútbol Playa ANFP, el Sudamericano de Voleibol, el Torneo Gol Iluminado, las clínicas de Tenis Beach, Bodyboard y Surf además de los talleres de Tai Chi Kung, Baile Entretenido, Pilates, Taekwondo y gimnasia aeróbica por nombrar algunos.
CARACTERÍSTICAS
La Playa del Deporte habilitada sobre una superficie de 15 mil metros cuadrados, consta de una cancha de fútbol, una de rugby, tres de vóleibol y dos de beach tenis, además de un muro de escalada y un área de slake line.
La Playa del Deporte estará habilitada hasta marzo del presente año, dependiendo de las condiciones del tiempo.

The design was awarded to a submission from the Swiss architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron in April 2003, after a bidding process that included 13 final submissions. The design, which originated from the study of Chinese ceramics, implemented steel beams in order to hide supports for the retractable roof; giving the stadium the appearance of a "Bird's nest". Ai Weiwei, the artistic consultant, played a critical role in pushing the design to have unique Chinese characteristics. The retractable roof was later removed from the design after inspiring the stadium's most recognizable aspect. Ground was broken in December 2003 and the stadium officially opened in June 2008.

Inveneo is proud to be an implementing partner with Creative Associates in the Tanzania 21st Century Basic Education Program (Tz21) where our role is to lead the technology intervention design and deployment with Kicheko Ltd, our Inveneo Certified ICT Partner (ICIP) in Tanzania. Together, Inveneo and Kicheko have been instrumental in introducing sustainable technology solutions that are relevant to rural Tanzanian schools that often lack electrical power and ICT skilled staff.
Recently we passed a major milestone in the program - the deployment of information and communication technologies to 5 pilot schools.
Dr. H.E. Kavishe of Kicheko, Wayan Vota and Jen Overgaag of Inveneo, assisted by a cadre of Kicheko technicians, installed a mix of laptops, desktops, LED projectors and related networking and power equipment at Naliendele, Kambarage, Darajani, and Kisiwandui Primary Schools, and Machakaeni Teacher Center.
The pilot deployment is testing technology configurations and the installation was used to train local engineers on Inveneo installation methodologies in preparation for the major ICT deployment to all schools, scheduled for early 2012.

The Government of Alberta has directed Alberta Health Services (AHS) to proceed carefully in implementing a portion of their plan.
There will be no job losses for nurses or for other front-line clinical staff. Any reduction in full-time equivalent positions will be in keeping with proactive disclosures announced in the fall of 2019.
A minimum of 100 management positions will be eliminated and a full review of senior AHS executives will be completed before the end of the fiscal year.
Alberta’s government has directed that only a portion of the actions identified in the implementation plan proceed, changes that are expected to yield up to $600 million in annual savings.
“The pandemic has changed everything. As a result, AHS has been directed to proceed carefully, putting patient care above all else. As a first step, AHS has been directed to eliminate a minimum of 100 management positions and to proceed with previously announced contracting work. This approach will allow us to strike the right balance between supporting the COVID-19 response and Alberta’s challenging fiscal situation.” said Tyler Shandro, Minister of Health.
Plans to contract out laundry services and community lab services, both announced in 2019, will continue. Requests for proposals (RFPs) for these services will be issued before the end of the year. About 70 per cent of community lab services is currently provided by the private sector, while about 68 per cent of health-care laundry is already cleaned by the private sector.
AHS has been given the go ahead to proceed with developing business cases for both environmental and food preparation services in 2022 and 2023. Both business cases will be subject to review and approval by the Government of Alberta.
AHS will also streamline non-clinical and back office operations, including optimizing distribution and inventory management and strengthening staff scheduling and overtime management systems. Job losses will be minimized in these areas.
“Alberta’s response to the pandemic has been the primary focus of the entire health-care system over the past seven months. The care and well-being of Albertans will always be our first priority. We remain fully committed to continuing to improve the financial sustainability of the organization, and will implement some of the review recommendations in a strategic and paced approach that ensures front-line health-care workers and Albertans are supported throughout the pandemic.” said Dr. Verna Yiu, president and CEO, Alberta Health Services.

Ministerio de Vivienda y Urbanismo está implementando el Programa de Regeneración de Conjuntos Habitacionales en la Villa Jorge Alessandri de la ciudad de Antofagasta, con el objeto de mejorar la calidad de vida de las familias que habitan en este condominio social.
Antofagasta, Febrero 2018. El Conjunto Habitacional Villa Jorge Alessandri de la comuna de Antofagasta se construyó a mediados de la década del 80 entre los sectores Trocadero y Barrio Industrial, y está constituido por 256 departamento que tienen una superficie promedio que no supera los 35 m2.
El año 2006 fue uno de los barrios seleccionados por el Programa “Quiero Mi Barrio”, que permitió generar proyectos físicos y sociales acordados participa y colectivamente con la comunidad. En este proceso los dirigentes de la Villa y sus vecinos manifestaron el deseo de mejorar las condiciones de habitabilidad, dadas las problemáticas de hacinamiento y falta de espacios públicos que afectan al condominio.
El año 2016 el Minvu hizo una priorización de todo el área a través de una Zona de Interés Público que considera distintos proyectos urbanos para este sector de la ciudad de Antofagasta; y una de las líneas de acción sectorial priorizada fue la implementación del Programa de Regeneración de Conjuntos Habitacionales en la Villa Jorge Alessandri.
En el marco de este Programa se trabajó con la comunidad y el municipio en la construcción de un Plan Maestro, que determinó la necesidad de regenerar y reconstruir todo el conjunto habitacional, para conducir así a una mejor utilización de la manzana donde se encuentra ubicado el condominio, aportando a la relación de éste con la ciudad.
Por ello, recientemente los vecinos se reunieron en una asamblea con alta convocatoria para conocer las 2 empresas que -bajo licitación- se adjudicaron el proyecto, que en sus grandes líneas de ejecución considera, por una parte, la movilidad de las familias y, por otra, la construcción de las nuevas soluciones habitacionales.
En la ocasión, se presentaron y expusieron las empresas “Ebco”, constructora a cargo de la demolición y construcción de los departamentos, y la Entidad Patrocinante “DyM”, responsable de trabajar en la organización de la demanda de las familias y en la posterior movilidad de éstas. Ambas entidades cuentan con amplia experiencia en sus rubros.
Asimismo, en la oportunidad se dio a conocer el anteproyecto del nuevo conjunto habitacional, que fue conocido por la asamblea. Y la entidad patrocinante explicó la forma en que se irán trabajando los temas asociados a movilidad, copropiedad y otros.
El Secretario Regional Ministerial de Vivienda y Urbanismo, Mauricio Zamorano, entregó la tranquilidad a los beneficiarios sobre la continuidad del proyecto y enfatizó que la tarea es llevar esto a cabo de la mejor forma posible, mediante un trabajo conjunto, donde la participación de los beneficiados en todas las instancias programadas es primordial.
PROGRAMA
El Programa Regeneración de Conjuntos Habitacionales busca responder a las necesidades colectivas de habitabilidad presentes en la población que reside en conjuntos de viviendas sociales y que se encuentran en condiciones críticas de déficit y deterioro de inmuebles y bienes comunes de alta densidad habitacional.
Su objetivo principal es mejorar las condiciones de habitabilidad de conjuntos habitacionales en relación a los estándares de calidad determinados por el Ministerio de Vivienda y Urbanismo, a través de su regeneración urbana, mediante proyectos de reparación, ampliación o reconstrucción de viviendas, mejoramiento de bienes comunes, construcción de áreas verdes, equipamiento y espacios públicos, apuntando a un proceso participativo, integral y sustentable. El proyecto Villa “Jorge Alessandri” de Antofagasta, se construirá con la figura de condominios sociales, aplicándose la normativa de la Ley 19.537.

Themed Gardens Hortulus in Dobrzyca were founded in 1992. Their implementation is still ongoing. Currently available to explore 28 different themed gardens. Total accumulated more than 6000 species and varieties of plants, including species of exotic and unique. Gardens are in an extremely hot climate zone 7b, where the winters are mild and there is much more rainfall than in other parts of the country. Gardens have been repeatedly awarded, including by the Polish Tourist Organisation.
Garden area is more than four hectares. The essence of these gardens is to show the plants in the garden compositions and their use in the various gardens (hence the lack of name tags). Visiting Gardens Hortulus, beyond the obvious contact with nature, provides an aesthetic experience and the spiritual. Therefore, also the gardens are divided by theme. They include classic as well as Japanese, French, Mediterranean, and those related to the environment: garden stone, rock and water. There are also gardens, utility, and herbal or vegetable.

Brought the DP2 out today just on the off chance there was something that could be used on the IMPOSSIBLE Instant Lab, but I liked these as they were from the DP2.
Manually focused just to see how quickly I could get the focus and shoot. Pretty easy, just zoom in, focus, half-press the shutter to zoom out and compose and fire the shutter.
