Phil Robinson has worked with information technology, in a variety of roles since 1975. He has been involved in the planning, analysis and implementation of a diverse range of business, scientific and technical information systems.
Phil is an experienced workshop facilitator and has led numerous workshops in the course of his consulting assignments. He has extensive training experience, earning a reputation as a lucid and knowledgeable presenter. Phil has presented training courses for organizations in Australia, Thailand, Philippines, India,
Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore and Indonesia.
Phil teaches courses on Software Testing, Requirements Analysis, Introduction to UML, SDLC Process Design Course, Enterprise Architecture,UML Modeling with Enterprise Architect and Requirement Analysis using Enterprise Architect.
Phil is a regular presenter at conferences and has authored numerous industry training courses in addition to three University units. He has also had two books published on programming Apple computers. The books were published in a number of countries including the USA, UK and as translations in Germany and France. More recently, he co-authored a number of articles that describe an original framework for the analysis of enterprise architectures.
Phil is a resident of Perth, Australia and frequently travels to South East Asia to perform assignments.
According to the International Institute of Business Analysis:
Business analysis is concerned with investigating business needs and proposing solutions to business problems. Solutions often include some form of software system, but may also include improvements to business processes, development of staff skills or changes to the organisation structure.
The people that perform business analysis have a variety of job titles. These include business analysts, systems analyst, functional analyst, business consultant and often, simply BA.
No matter what your job title is, this course is designed to develop the knowledge and skills that are essential to succeed at business analysis.
The course is based on the real-world experience and lessons learnt by practicing business analysts working on actual projects. At the same time it presents an up to date perspective on business analysis that includes use cases.

Juba, 9 November 2022 – At a press briefing held at the UNMISS headquarters in Juba, South Sudan, today, Under-Secretary-General for UN Peace Operations, Jean-Pierre Lacroix, urged signatories to the Revitalized Peace Agreement to redouble their efforts at implementing all outstanding benchmarks contained within this 2018 peace deal. USG Lacroix’s views were echoed by the Secretary-General’s Chef de Cabinet, Courtenay Rattray. Both high-ranking UN officials have concluded a four-day visit to South Sudan where they engaged with political actors, women’s groups, humanitarians, the donor community, and peacekeepers.

Implementing Best Practice Guidelines for Judicial Selection and Appointment in Southern and East Africa
At a time when departments across Whitehall are setting up implementation units to track the delivery of key policy priorities, this event explored how the Punjab government, with the advice and support of the Department for International Development (DFID) and Sir Michael Barber, used delivery methodology in Pakistan to achieve ground-breaking change in education and health reform – getting over two million more children into school and reforming health service delivery for a province of over 100 million people.
Punjab’s Chief Minister, Shahbaz Sharif and Sir Michael Barber discussed how strengthened monitoring systems, transparent reporting and officials’ accountability are changing public service delivery in Punjab, aided by delivery ‘Roadmaps’ and the work of the Special Monitoring Unit in the Chief Minister’s Office.
Building on the success in Punjab, DFID is now supporting this approach more widely. In Tanzania, DFID is assisting the President’s Delivery Bureau to accelerate progress on priority areas that include water and energy, and in Sierra Leone, a delivery-focused approach is improving transparency and supporting Ebola recovery.
Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has been the Chief Minister of Punjab since June 2008. Punjab is Pakistan’s largest province: it is home to over 100 million people, more than half of Pakistan’s population. Under his leadership the Government of Punjab has delivered a number of impressive successes, from increases in education enrolment and teacher attendance to significant public sector infrastructure.
Sir Michael Barber is a leading authority on delivery having served the UK government as Head of the Prime Minister's Delivery Unit (from 2001-2005) and since then worked on delivery or education in over 50 countries. He has authored several books on delivery including Instruction to Deliver, Deliverology 101 and most recently How to Run a Government so the Citizens Benefit and Taxpayers Don’t Go Crazy.
This event was Chaired by Peter Riddell, Director of the Institute for Government.

We celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied and multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. We hit rural Kansas during the season when the farmers move all their farm implements around. That timing's not hard to manage, though; Kansas farmers are always moving their farm implements around. Farmers are busy people, but I wonder how much of their time is spent driving extremely slow vehicles great distances.
According to the Kansas Department of Agriculture, in 2017 (the most recent year listed on their web site) there were 58,569 farms operating in Kansas, cultivating a total of 45.7 million acres of Kansas, or 74,600 square miles. That works out to 66.3% of the land in Kansas being farm. The average size of a Kansas farm is 781 acres, and 84.6% of those farms are family owned and operated. In total, agriculture provides jobs for 254,000 Kansans, or about 13% of the workforce.
Trump's pointless trade war was particularly rough on Kansas farmers, and farm income dropped precipitously while bankruptcies increased by about 25% in both 2018 and 2019. According to a 2019 report from the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, about 40% of what money Kansas farmers did make in this period came from Federal assistance programs designed to mitigate the trade war's effect. So, essentially, Kansas farmers were living off government welfare. In the recent Presidential election, loser Donald Trump got 56.5% of the Kansas vote, beating President-elect Joe Biden by 201,759 votes. Using the logic the Republican Party frequently employs to explain the votes on the other side, this is because Kansas farmers like getting free stuff.

Kavalcare Solar System for Jhpiego Mid-Wife Clinic Dec8, 2014
Every year, 12,000 women in Pakistan die of birth complications. The Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) Services Component, implemented by MCHIP/Jhpiego, aims at preventing maternal, newborn, and child deaths by ensuring skilled birth attendance (SBA) through a total market approach, empowered community, timely referral of obstetric and neonatal complications to an emergency obstetric and newborn care (EmONC) facility, and improved access to child care.
Lack of electricity in remote areas is a major issue that often leads to obstetric complications and newborn deaths. Refrigerated storage is vital for the effectiveness of life saving drugs and vaccines. Ice boxes are used in remot areas of this purpose but it is an ineffective method especially when easy availability of ice is a problem. To overcome these issues, Lodhie Foundation in association with Maternal and Child Health Integrated Program/JHPIEGO, extended its Kavalcare program and provided a Solar Powered System to a remote clinic located at village Haji Usman Jhakro near Makli, District Thatta. System provides sufficient power to operate a small refrigerator, a fan and 3 lamps 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. It was designed, manufactured and installed by Shaan Technologies private Limited Karachi. After installation of Solar System in August 2014, this small remote clinic is serving a community of 10,000 plus persons who lives in village Haji Usman and surrounding areas. On an average 10 patients visits this clinic each day. Clinic also provides up to 15 birth attendance and new born care in a month.

El Sistema de control de pesos y dimensiones al transporte de carga pesada implementado por el Ministerio de Transporte y Obras Públicas (MTOP), tiene como fin, evitar la destrucción de las vías por el manejo inadecuado de carga pesada por parte de las unidades de transporte que circulan en la red vial estatal. De esta forma, se salvaguarda las altas inversiones que se asignan al mantenimiento o reconstrucción de las carreteras en el país.
Para ello, quienes prestan el servicio de transporte de carga pesada en el país deben cumplir con el Artículo 1 del Acuerdo Ministerial 036, donde consta la Tabla nacional de los pesos y dimensiones permitidos.
Con la misma modalidad de atención, el servicio se encuentra en Puertos marítimos (Esmeraldas, Guayaquil y Manta) y Centros Binacionales de Atención Fronteriza (CEBAF), en Huaquillas, (El Oro) y Rumichaca, (Carchi).

The Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) Services Component, implemented by MCHIP/Jhpiego, aims at preventing maternal, newborn, and child deaths by ensuring skilled birth attendance (SBA) through a total market approach, empowered community, timely referral of obstetric and neonatal complications to an emergency obstetric and newborn care (EmONC) facility, and improved access to child care.
Lack of electricity in remote areas is a major issue that often leads to obstetric complications and newborn deaths. Refrigerated storage is vital for the effectiveness of life saving drugs and vaccines. Ice boxes are used in remot areas of this purpose but it is an ineffective method especially when easy availability of ice is a problem. To overcome these issues, Lodhie Foundation in association with Maternal and Child Health Integrated Program/JHPIEGO, extended its Kavalcare program and provided a Solar Powered System to a remote clinic located at village Haji Usman Jhakro near Makli, District Thatta. System provides sufficient power to operate a small refrigerator, a fan and 3 lamps 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. It was designed, manufactured and installed by Shaan Technologies private Limited Karachi. After installation of Solar System in August 2014, this small remote clinic is serving a community of 10,000 plus persons who lives in village Haji Usman and surrounding areas. On an average 10 patients visits this clinic each day. Clinic also provides up to 15 birth attendance and new born care in a month.

With no agricultural background, Dr. Panda has developed unique natural bonsai in his Vijnana Bana Ashram which also shows path for earning just by uprooting and nurturing the plants which are found to be small and thumb in nature.
Dr. Panda's Scientific Endeavour and research is no doubt praise worthy. One cannot but believe his dedicated effort in simple innovation laboratory.

Implementing Sanitation marketing increases access to improved sanitation, to provide more options in improved sanitation products in order for communities to move up the sanitation ladder focusing more on the scalability of business plans and service delivery and to further contribute to stunting reduction.
Since 2013, UNICEF has piloted Sanitation Marketing jointly with government and NGO partners in 4 regions in the country. Woreda health offices have received direct financial and technical support to establish sanitation marketing centers in their woredas. Success stories from Machakal (Amhara) and Sire (Oromia) have been achieved and recognized at national level. Moreover, UNICEF in a partnership with iDE an international NGO pilot Sanitation Marketing in 8 woredas in the 4 big regions (from July 2013 to June 2015).
