So the Pony came home.

I rushed to look at the cake. The 'cake' turns out to be a non-cake! It was covered with red disposable napkins. I could tell from the scent that escaped through the napkins, that it is some sort of pie or puff.

"Is it curry puff? is it? Is it?"

The Pony looked this way - !?(・_・;)?

So, I said, 'how come this looks like homemade pie?'. Then, the usual annoying smirks on his face invited the Sherlock Meow to step in. Heh!

As I picked up the card attached to a cute shopping carrier bag, I said, 'must be Bai-Ling-Dah' (in Madarin). It is!!!!!!! I just didn't expect this conspiracy went across borders to involve 'Dai-Bee'!!!

I love to bake bread, I should do it more often. This is from the spring of 2012.I was in a good spot - bread-wice - and made a couple of homemade goodies on a regular basis. At least for a few weeks. But then I got busy and the breadbaking hours got fewer. And sooner rather than later I had stopped baking all together. I’m glad I have these photos - both as a documentation and as a reminder to do it again. I love homebaked bread. I love it a lot. And I love that not one of them taste exactly the same, each made with whatever flour was in my cupboard at the time of baking. And made without a recipe too. Sometimes that made them taste a little funny, but most of the time it was what made them the best bread ever.

They're "rustic". :)

Felt like it took me forever to spoon the filling and close all of these, but they fried up in two minutes. Sprinkled them with sugar while they were still warm. So good.
