My first time making homemade pasta. Fettuccine, cookie cutout shapes, goat cheese ravioli. Recipe inspiration here: thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2009/05/homemade-pasta/, except I used two cups Bob's red mill unbleached white flour, 1 cup Bob's semolina, and 6 eggs. My son and husband loved the shapes and fettuccine, and I enjoyed the ravioli. Easy and fun, will make again!
Last night I decided to make pizza with some of the leftover pork we had. I made the crust from scratch, substituting in one cup of whole wheat flour for a cup of all-purpose, and topped it with homemade pizza sauce, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, cheese, the leftover pork, and the sofrito Kurt had made. It was good -- though I need to refine the crust a bit. I think I need to heat my pizza stone in the oven and then slide the unbaked pizza on to it. We're having pizza again tonight just so I can try that out. Hehe.
Here are a selection of bottles of homemade alcohol. I took this picture in a small restaurant in the countryside about 2 hours from Seoul, South Korea.
results: indeterminate. I used two sets of thermometers to try to get more than one set of data and sure enough they did not agree! *sigh*

Homemade! Yay! It hadn't been in the freezer quite long enough, but we couldn't wait.
Verdict:
It tastes good, but...different. A little too sweet. Next time I'll use actual (if expensive) vanilla beans and cut down on the egg yolks and sugar, and maybe use a bit more milk and a bit less cream.
Jesse really liked it.
Japanese Pancake Pizza: Okonomiyaki is a mixture between pancake and pizza. "Okonomi" means "as you like". This I think refers to the many ingredients, as one prefers in his/her pancakes. These pancakes are served with mayonnaise, brown okonomiyaki sauce and bonito flakes.
I had my 1st bite of okonomiyaki at the basement food corner at C K Tang years ago. - Jenny
