Baby Quilt - approx. 40" x 48"
Fabrics are from a charm pack & a Fat Quarter Bundle of Moda's Half Moon Modern line - purchased from CityCraft citycraftonline.com/ Plus some Bella solids to fill in the Orange, Green & Yellow blocks.
Solid sashing fabrics are Kona White & Kona Medium Gray.
Solids on the back are Moda Bella Solids, Steel, Betty's Red, Yellow, Summer House Lime, & Orange Purchased from Fat Quarter Shop <a href="http://www.fatquartershop.com/"
Pattern is the Roller Rink from Elizabeth Hartman's book Modern Patchwork also purchased from CityCraft.
Used Aurifil 50/2 light grey (2600) from Pink Chalk Fabrics www.pinkchalkfabrics.com/ to quilt straight lines 1/4" on each side of the vertical seams. Love how this color of thread blends more readily with all the quilt colors than a white thread would have.
EQ7 was helpful in laying out this quilt & especially in designing the back!
Really, really like this pattern & will make it again.

My submission for Spoonflower this week is a bold black and cream colored pattern wit a retro vibe with these half moon shapes.
Camping on the beach near Half Moon Bay. It rained overnight and our tent leaked, which made for a less than excellent night. I don't really remember what month we went there, but it was definitely in the spring sometime.

2015 Pacific Coast Dream Machines at the Half Moon Bay Airport, in El Granada, California. There were a lot more cars than planes, but it was a fun day.

Half Moon Bay is a small city on the California coast, south of San Francisco. A string of beaches along the bay includes Half Moon Bay State Beach. The Coastside Trail leads north to Pillar Point, near the huge waves of the Mavericks surf spot. Nearby, Montara Mountain rises in the protected Rancho Corral de Tierra area. The Purisima Creek Redwoods Preserve is on the slopes of the Santa Cruz Mountains. ― Google
We just spent our 20th Anniversary at the Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay, CA. The beach there was gorgeous! Highly recommend the Sushi at Shiki too.
Just experimenting with this shot of last ight's half moon. The photo came out better than thought it would.

Replica of the Dutch ship, "De Halve Maen" ("The Half Moon") which, in the year 1609, Henry Hudson and his crew sailed up the river which today bares his name. The Albany-built replica was based in New York state until 2014 when it sailed off to the Dutch city of Hoorn, which has been its home since. However, there are reports that the city of Hoorn no longer wishes to allow The Half Moon to make its home there and it may be that the ship will need to find another home, maybe even to return across the Atlantic to New York State.

This is a shot of the crew of the replica ship Half Moon docking at the Newburgh waterfront. The captain of this vessel is in the rear with the yellow shirt.
On a recent visit to photograph the neon on the two large and popular drive-ins in Lockport, north of Winnipeg, I found that the Half Moon had an interesting fresh new retro look on the interior and exterior. There were major changes to the entrance, the signage, and the general appearance of the exterior. On the inside, the front of a vintage Chevy protruded from a wall and the interior looks more 50s or 60s diner like.
Despite the reduction in neon signage, the retro look appealed me enough that I want to see more in daylight.
