Half Moon held a Fun Palace free family fun day with a recycling theme on Saturday 3 October 2015. Throughout the day we had a variety of free family events, including 15 min interactive storytelling performances, bottle top art, science experiments, craft sessions, an interactive art installation and a garden area where you could plant a seed in a pot. Plus, there was a junk orchestra!
Fun Palaces shouts, sings, shimmies, stomps from the rooftops: arts and sciences, all culture, is a crucial part of human life, and they are truly glorious.
Fun Palaces is a free, nationwide celebration of arts and culture inspired by theatre director Joan Littlewood and architect Cedric Price’s never-built vision of the Fun Palace, a welcoming and engaging venue for arts and sciences.
After dinning at a restaurant in Half Moon Bay, I saw the bay lit by beautiful sunset light with no breeze on the water. I was blaming myself for not bringing my SLR camera and miss the chance. I walk past the water front but cannot resist the tempation of this beautiful scene. I turn back and walk to the original spot . The wind was starting to blow and small ripples started to appear on the water. I quickly took out my only available camera at the moment, a small Canon compact camera and took this photo. I tried to take another one with a different angle but the ripples were getting big and the reflections were gone. So this is the only one for the day.
