A Golden Sebright chicken stays still just long enough for me to get a good photo. They're a bit skittish but are fairly friendly once they get used to you.
Man at Grangethorpe Drive bus stop on Kingsway. It took a few shots to get a clear view. This old lens is not at its best with lots of sunshine.

We stopped for our lunch break at this family's farm house up on the ridge. We'd brought our own food but they insisted on sharing their meal with us. The friendliness and hospitality of the people of Cape Verde knows no bounds, and never ceased to surprise.
Say hello to a few friendly, curious cattle.
Our cousins own a ranch in SE Montana, where there are as far I can tell, several hundred pet cows. Proof that ranchers can not only be humane with their livestock but even friendly.
If you look at #934, you'll notice she's particularly curious. My cousin said if I stood there long enough she'd let me pet her! Crazy!

Staying a couple of days at Hotel Los Helechos in the Topes de Collantes national Park. Seeing old faces, meeting new ones -> I made friends with a beautiful, loyal, uber friendly dog a cross between Criollo and Dalmatian. We spent a whole morning in one of Topes nature trails; Jardín de Gigantes (The Giant's garden), filled with tree ferns, caoba (baobab) trees, bamboo thickets and many other humongous plants.
This guy is always hanging around when we're in the garden, to see what tasty morsels we're going to disturb for him.

This friendly fellow was waiting for mommy outside a bakery. I wanted to take his photo, but he just wanted to cuddle. I was able to snap one and then gave in. Aren't beagles the sweetest dogs ever?
