Walking along the seashore to work I found this little friendly face ! It made me feel so special to receive a greeting like this !

At the Togwotee Mountain Lodge in western Wyoming, a Dusky Grouse (Dendragapus obscurans) followed me around the gravel parking lot. Finally I sat down next to it. The bird seemed content to stand there while I sat. The receptionist at the front desk later told me that the grouse had been hanging around for several days, occasionally following guests through the front door. This species is also called Blue Grouse. Teton County, Wyoming.
