A very friendly dog. When I walk by and she's out she always comes up to say hi.

She's half Chow, half German Shepherd.

I thought I had posted a shot or two previously but apparently not.

August 8,2024. A note on the fence informed her admirers that Gypsy had passed away peacefully. I miss seeing her on my walks.

Excuse the bad focus ... it was a quick hand held shot with the tele, even though he was only about 30' away, plus he kept looking around and the wind was blowing. But, at least we were honored with a brief encounter from this friendly boy.

Sometimes I take a walk up past the university, and then down steep narrow Devon Road to Aro Street, it always seems relaxed and friendly there, it's just an impression. The walk is near its end when I reach Aro Café for a flat white coffee and a helping of nemesis chocolate cake, and hopefully by then I have found an opportunity for a photo. Nicer and bigger on Black

A nice way to get the bird shots you need is to befriend them (yes, Food works!). This heron meets us every time we visit this park.
