Late last November, Guy( www.flickr.com/photos/ozgfk/22930379874/in/dateposted/ ) and I had a drink and a chat about cameras at a bar along Kandahar Street. Our waitress was cool and friendly, so we asked if she would let us take her portrait. I got her name, wrote it down, and now it's disappeared. If I find that paper, I'll update the photo title here. I recall her saying that she's working at that bar to pay her way through school.
A friendly stop of sunlight and 1950s setting. A happier place to have a cup of coffee would be hard to find. The owner greeted us the moment we walked in the door. I like that kind of place.

Scanner not working, so I took a photo of the finished work. This is a wild cottontail rabbit I named Friendly; because he let's me get within 8 feet away when photographing him.

out for a walk and started a conversation with the son and mother (87) father (93) is between them. Very interesting stories were shared, and it turned out that my family lived near theirs in another city almost 60yrs ago, but never met until now.
While cleaning my boots in the garden, I went in search of a stiff brush. When I returned I found this cute fella perched on my boot. When I got closer, he reminded me the bird food needed toppping up.
Hasn't it got a pretty face?
It seemed to provide a good subject to practise my close up technique with the Olympus.
Trouble was that it kept reaching out with those feeler things, and leaving some slimy, sticky stuff on the lens glass. (Came off with a soak and a scrub!)
Then I noticed the translucence of part of the body when seen in the light, and tried to catch that. The photo below gives some idea of what I mean.
Simply in love with all the bunnies large and small that went in and out of the ground floor hotel room at The Stephanie Inn at Cannon Beach, Oregon.
