"The Friendly Giant is a popular Canadian children's television program that aired on CBC Television from September 1958 through to March 1985. It featured three main characters: a giant named Friendly (played by Bob Homme), who lived in a huge castle, along with his puppet animal friends Rusty (a rooster who played a harp and lived in a book bag hung by the castle window) and Jerome (a giraffe). The two principal puppets were manipulated and voiced by Rod Coneybeare." - Wikipedia

While cleaning my boots in the garden, I went in search of a stiff brush. When I returned I found this cute fella perched on my boot. When I got closer, he reminded me the bird food needed toppping up.
I am a hippie, from 1969 untill now. Its never changed, I think, the real hippies, are a different human beeing, it has nothing to do with money, status, or drugs. Its just a state of mind, which could develop during the hippie times, when the world was changing, and we, the hippies, knew that we could change the attitude.
Then, the powergames began, the politicians became afraid, and the slaughterhouse started, and never stopped. I am accused of beeing unreal: hippies never judge, they are always right...:-)
He was hoping anyways! Just a little friend we made the other day, sure was friendly and tame. And hopeful. : )
Initially these cows were up the top of the hill. I’d hoped for a lovely shot of the mountains with the cows in the foreground. As soon as I hopped out of the car to snap them, the entire herd came running down to the fence and ruined the shot Just outside of Methven

Bicycle friendly
Bicycles are more common than cars in downtown Copenhagen, a stark contrast to most [all?] Canadian cities. Postal deliveries and couriers (DHL and Amazon) are all made by bicycle (in central Copenhagen). During the morning and evening commuting hours we observed bicycle traffic jams at major intersections. We were also surprised at the speed and apparent nonchalance of the cyclists, the majority of whom sped by us in the rain, on cobblestone, and without helmets. Woe be the tourist who steps out into the bike lane without looking!

“Copenhagen has earned a reputation as one of the most—possibly the most—bicycle-friendly city in the world. Every day 1.2 million kilometres (0.75 million miles) are cycled in Copenhagen, with 62% of all citizens commuting to work, school or university by bicycle; in fact, almost as many people commute by bicycle in greater Copenhagen as do those who cycle to work in the entire United States. Cycling is generally perceived as a healthier, more environmentally friendly, cheaper, and often quicker way to get around town than by public transport or car.”

In April 2023, we had one of our Minimoons to North Devon. We had a place right on the beach. It was not a very sunny holiday, there was a lot of mistiness, a bit of drizzle, but as always, we found things to photograph.
I didn't do any swimming in the sea on this Minimoon, but I did have a few long walks along the vast Westand Ho! beach.
