3 square inches of cyclamen flowers, pink and purple mingling in one plant. Shot for Macro Monday's theme "'fill the frame," but not uploaded on time. Still, here it is on my photostream, at least. One photo a day. (153/366) Bayside, Queens, NYC -- June 1, 2020

Give me any type of bread and some butter and I am happy girl. Mmmm!
Just a quick shot of some croissants I had bought. After a busy day I have no thoughts left on what to shoot. :D
Have a goodnight folks. I hope your day was a good one!
Chrysanthemums (mums) are one of the most popular fall garden flowers. Goodbye Summer and welcome Autumn with your beautiful vibrant colors! 🍁
The smell of pumpkin spice, fresh apples do wonders to make a house feel cozy! What's better than watching a movie or reading a book with a cup of hot chocolate or tea in a rainy weekend, like today?
My whiter shade of pale rose is blooming well this year after a disappointing show last year.

Roses are a gift that keeps on giving.... There is Beauty in Shape Colour and Perfume..... Given in Love, a most powerful gift.
Day 188/365:
Another iPhone shot today, a begonia in my garden. My back is still really painful but I have managed to get an osteopath appointment for tomorrow. Really hoping that will help. Apologies but I'm not going to get around to commenting...may hit a few stars (and I hate doing that without commenting on at least some pics) but I can't really concentrate on much.
For Macro Mondays' #fill the frame theme
A bowl-full of balloon sprinkles, to celebrate that lockdown is easing and the sun continues to shine in the UK....
a MM fill-the-frame possibility
will do a size verification if this is the one i choose :)
it's just under 4cms
Since I have a decidedly non-green thumb, my choices for the MM theme of fill-the-frame with plants necessarily are of the artificial variety. We also have a young kitty that chews things. My DD took down a few from the upper shelf of the bookcase. But this one with its bold colors made my heart sing.

At a time of a historic pandemic and racial discord/violence, major league baseball seems to reflect the times. Even as the virus may be waning, the different sides (the teams and the players) cannot agree yet on what's fair compensation for a shortened season. As a baseball fan who loves the idea of the USA...and it's the first country started as an idea if you think about it....I hope the sides can come together. Maybe the stitching's just gotten too loose and we can tighten them up a bit?
Macro Mondays ~ Fill The Frame
The chives from my herb garden have provided inspiration for today's photos, with a 'fill the frame' theme for all of them.
Stay safe and well everyone.
Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo. Any comments or Faves are very much appreciated

HMM for everyone - FMM para todos !
We went for a rainy day drive on the weekend to this historical section of a city outside Toronto. The last time I was here was years ago when I bought a painting from a local artist. Do you ever feel a little breathless when you visit places that you haven’t been to in a long while? All these memories come flooding back. The near misses and what-ifs that occur in our lives, and the millions of decisions that we’ve made along the way that have brought us to this moment...
This historic building was the first thing to catch my eye when I stepped out of the car. At some point in the last ten years, the building has been painted this shocking shade of deep, bluish purple. I love that it matches my plaid umbrella (see reflection in upper windows). :) Handheld and under low light/rainy conditions, the images I took that day are not super sharp (does it matter?). But I like them well enough to share here. This is one of five. I hope you find something you like too. x
“All this isolation’s sinister
So be kind to yourself,
There will never be another you
There’s just nobody else that’s you!
You said, ‘Don’t let your heart give out’
No, I won’t let my heart give out
You said, ‘don’t let your breath run out’
No, I won’t let my breath run out...”

Subject: Fill The Frame

This is the center of one of my beautiful art glass paperweights. HMM, everyone ! !
The luxurious glossy green of the strap-like leaf of an orchid gives way to a more interesting surface and colour when it’s life is over!
Never looked close before but the leaf takes on a much more textured appearance as it rots away, especially in macro!
Good excuse to get super close in then you need to fill the frame! This is from the centre of a Gerbera flower that seems to have mistaken being indoors for spring!
Took loads of shots of it from the abstract to the super sharp, this sits somewhere between I think. Estimated 5mm section of the flower.
It is the middle of winter where I live, and we are currently going through a rather arctic blast with grey leaden skies and winds that cat cut through you.
In spite of that, it was mild enough for a winter day to go out, so I went for a walk the other day. Whilst I was out, I came across a wonderful lone vermilion rose on a thorny bush. It was such a brilliant colour that it caught my eye from across the road and I crossed over to see it. Luckily I had my camera with me!
It just shows that even in the heart of winter, there is still beauty and colour to be found!
I hope this brightens your day, regardless of whether you are in the middle of winter or summer.
