One of my favorite treats during the summer are strawberries. HMM ! !

One of my several pairs of wool mittens - my hands are always cold this time of year. The button is 1.5 centimeters wide.

As always, thank you very much for your visit. Stay warm and HMM!

Similar to my last dive into the world of bubbly bokeh madness, here I took some gold ribbon (see first comment), added a hanging gold chain that was looped a bunch, parked the setup in my studio sunlight and embarked on an exploration for golden bubbly bokeh. The chain may look a bit like it could adorn the neck of some famous rapper but it's really small and appears large thanks to the 41.5mm of extension tubes on the back of the Meyer Optik 50mm Oreston. I knew I would find some amazing bokeh but I was quite surprised when I looked at the image, the bubbles were as clean (and interesting) as could be, I didn't have to remove one spot! To process, I turned the image 90 deg., cropped and that was about it! I may be a bit obsessed about this, but the Oreston keeps surprising me with its capabilities. Take a look large and I hope it makes you smile!

Meyer Optik 50mm f/1.8 Oreston with Nikon PK-12&13 Extension Tubes (41.5mm total extension). Single image shot at f/1.8.

For the group, Smile on Saturday, Theme: "Shades of Gold". If you care to see the extent of the bokeh produced with this ribbon see the first comment.

Dandelions are fascinating plants

Happy Macro Monday!

Bromeliad (Guzmania lingulata) pink flower is an ideal indoor or office plant. They're one of those plants that blooms once when it hits maturity, and then slowly dies off as it puts all its energy into producing new plants, called pups. Bromeliad blooms last up to six months, so you get a long-lived bloom for the plant's lone flower show.

Black Eyed Susan vine (Rudbeckia hirta) is a hallmark of prairies and meadows. It is a flower that blooms and completes its life cycle in its second year with an extravagant floral display, creating thousands of dark eyes like the ones we see here.

Green is the fresh emblem of well founded hopes. In blue the spirit can wander, but in green it can rest.

The dam was bursting with color! A large number of autumn leaves floated and waited on the dam spillway for their final destination. The photo was taken from the bridge.

Have a great weekend everyone!!

This is part of a metal heart ornament for flowers, left outside over the winter in a pot of winter heather.

Last minute idea and I had it in my hand, a water bottle. I used a colorful paper for the background. Please, recycle ♻ them!
