This tower on the Bristol Channel at Portishead Point (also known as Battery Point) stands 9 meters high and was built in 1930. It once had a two ton bronze bell on the lighthouse front, which automatically warned sailors of treacherous weather conditions, but the lighthouse has deteriorated so much that the bell was removed in 1999 for safety reasons.
