In der Mitte des gepflasterten Hofs verläuft eine Rinne, in der das Abwasser ablaufen kann. Ab 1883 wurden die Wohnviertel auf den Elbinseln Kehrwieder und Wandrahm abgerissen, um die Speicherstadt zu errichten.
