ENG: The former monastery church in Füssen is now the parish church of the parish of St. Mang (Patrozinium St. Magnus). A very beautiful and impressive church right next to the castle „Hohes Schloss“. From the outside one can hardly imagine the splendour of the inside. A very interesting and really impressive building.

GER: Die ehemalige Klosterkirche in Füssen ist heute die Pfarrkirche der Stadtpfarrei St. Mang (Patrozinium St. Magnus). Eine sehr schöne und eindrucksvolle Kirche direkt neben dem Hohen Schloss. Von außen kann man die Pracht des inneren kaum erahnen. Ein sehr interessantes und wirklich beeindruckendes Bauwerk.

ENG: The Bode Museum, opened in 1904 as the Kaiser Friedrich Museum, is part of the Museum Island ensemble in Berlin and thus a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It houses the Sculpture Collection, the Museum of Byzantine Art and the Numismatic Collection. It was reopened on 17 October 2006 after almost six years of renovation and opened to the public on 19 October of the same year.

The Bode-Museum became doubtfully well-known during the night of 27 March 2017, when a "Big Maple Leaf Gold Coin" weighing around 100 kg was stolen from the exhibition. This loan from a private owner had a face value of around 1.0 million Canadian dollars, the material value at the time of the crime was around 3.8 million euros. The gold coin and the perpetrators have since disappeared and the coin was most likely melted down.

GER: Das Bode-Museum, 1904 als Kaiser-Friedrich-Museum eröffnet, gehört zum Ensemble der Museumsinsel in Berlin und damit zum Weltkulturerbe der UNESCO. Die Goldmünze sowie die Täter sind seitdem verschwunden und die Münze wurde aller Wahrscheinlichkeit nach eingeschmolzen.

Mit kaum einer anderen Firma ist der Begriff der „Guten Form“ so eng verbunden wie mit dem westdeutschen Elektrogerätehersteller Braun.

In den Nachkriegsjahren repräsentierte er die neuen Grundwerte guter Gestaltung: Ökonomie der Mittel, Funktionalität, Hochwertigkeit, Langlebigkeit und Ehrlichkeit.

In den bürgerlichen Wohnzimmern der 1950er Jahre, wo Radios in edlen Holzgehäusen oder gar in sogenannten Musiktruhen versteckt wurden, löste der nüchterne Braun - Stil eine kleine Revolution aus.

Ein hell lackiertes Gehäuse, glatte, schmucklose Seitenteile aus Holz und bei den Truhen ein durchsichtiger Deckel aus Plexiglas, der den Blick auf die Bedienungselemente freigibt, war sensationell und zugleich schockierend in seiner asketischen Ästhetik.

Das Gestaltungskonzept überließ nichts dem Zufall: Die Bedienung der L-förmig angelegten Knöpfe erfolgte ausschließlich von oben, die Typografien der Skalen waren nach Vorgaben des Ulmer Architekten Otl Aichers gestaltet und z. B. die Plattenspielereinheit war ein Entwurf Wilhelm Wagenfelds.

Für das Gesamterscheinungsbild jedoch waren in der Hauptsache Hans Gugelot und Dieter Rams, der auch die Idee der Plexiglashaube einbrachte, verantwortlich.

Mit diesen Entwürfen läutete Braun eine neue Ära der technischen Produktkultur ein.

Überraschend schnell avancierten z. B. der der nüchterne Quader der Truhe (ich werde sie noch zeigen), im Volksmund, aufgrund der Plexiglashaube, auch „Schneewittchensarg“ genannt, zum Lieblingsobjekt der Architekten und Intellektuellen.

Und natürlich sehen wir hier ein Röhrenradio, kein Transistorradio ! Röhren findet man heutzutage nur in High-End-Geräten.

Die Welt ist viel zu vielseitig um einseitig betrachtet zu werden ...

Few companies are as closely associated with the concept of "good design" as the West German electrical appliance manufacturer Braun.

In the post-war years, it represented the new fundamental values of good design: economy of means, functionality, high quality, durability, and honesty.

In the middle-class living rooms of the 1950s, where radios were hidden away in elegant wooden cabinets or even in so-called music chests, the austere Braun style sparked a small revolution.

A light-colored lacquered cabinet, smooth, unadorned wooden side panels, and, in the case of the chests, a transparent Plexiglas lid that revealed the controls, was sensational and, at the same time, shocking in its ascetic aesthetic.

The design concept left nothing to chance: The L-shaped knobs were operated exclusively from above, the dial typography was designed according to specifications by the Ulm architect Otl Aicher, and, for example, the record player unit was a design by Wilhelm Wagenfeld.

However, the overall appearance was primarily the work of Hans Gugelot and Dieter Rams, who also came up with the idea for the Plexiglas cover.

With these designs, Braun ushered in a new era of technical product design.

Surprisingly quickly, the simple rectangular box of the chest (which I will show later), nicknamed "Snow White's Coffin" by the public due to its Plexiglas cover, became a favorite among architects and intellectuals.

ENG: The Waldorf Astoria Berlin - A luxury hotel in the heart of Berlin and its marble staircase in the foyer. The Zoofenster is a high-rise hotel building in the Charlottenburg district of Berlin and was opened on January 3, 2013. It owes its name to the Zoological Garden opposite and, at 118.8 meters, is the fifth tallest skyscraper in Berlin (2024) together with the neighbouring Upper West, which is the same height. Together with the Upper West, it forms a gateway ensemble to Kantstrasse and frames the Memorial Church on Breitscheidplatz in terms of urban planning.

ENG: This summer, we took another trip to Munich. Munich's cityscape is characterised by centuries-old buildings and numerous museums. The Bavarian capital is famous for the annual Oktoberfest and its beer halls, especially the Hofbräuhaus, which opened in 1589. A "Helles" beer always works. In the old town centre on the central Marienplatz square are landmarks such as the neo-Gothic New Town Hall, whose popular carillon plays melodies and stories from the 16th century. The clean city, which is easily accessible by public transport, also offers many beautiful staircases.

GER: In diesem Sommer haben wir wieder einen Abstecher nach München gemacht. Das Stadtbild Münchens ist geprägt von jahrhundertealten Bauwerken und zahlreichen Museen. Die bayerische Landeshauptstadt ist bekannt für das alljährliche Oktoberfest und seine Bierhallen, allen voran das 1589 eröffnete Hofbräuhaus. Ein „Helles“ geht immer. In der Altstadt am zentralen Marienplatz stehen Wahrzeichen wie das neugotische Neue Rathaus, dessen beliebtes Glockenspiel Melodien und Geschichten aus dem 16. Jahrhundert spielt. Die saubere und mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln gut erreichbare Stadt bietet aber auch viele schöne Treppenhäuser.

ENG: Today I have some photo art for your eyes. I photographed the tram line at Arnswalder Platz in Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg district with my iPhone and then traced the whole thing in Affinity's iPad application. And this is what came out.

My main focus was on the Tatra tram KT4D, which is about to be taken out of service in Berlin.

GER: Heute gibt es von mir mal wieder ein wenig Foto Kunst für eure Augen. ENG: Now come my last impressions from this year's summer vacation in the Allgäu. My last day with a lot of relaxation in the holiday resort Heimen. Heimen is a small dreamy place which belongs to the district Hopferau, not far from Füssen and the border to Austria. The view of the Alps from here was simply breathtakingly beautiful and still makes me reminisce today.

GER: Nun kommen meine letzten Impressionen vom diesjährigen Sommerurlaub im Allgäu. Mein letzter Tag mit viel Entspannung im Urlaubsort Heimen. Heimen ist ein kleiner verträumter Ort der zum Kreis Hopferau gehört, ganz unweit von Füssen und der Grenze zu Österreich. Der Alpen Blick von hier aus war einfach atemberaubend schön und lässt mich heute noch von zehren.

ENG: Hi, you love out there. You know, it's funny how the landmarks of a city are so referenced. Very few people crossed our path on Friday during my little photo tour with my child.

The House of World Cultures (former name: Congress Hall) was the US-American contribution to the 1957 International Building Exhibition. The technically revolutionary building was declared a gift from America to its friend West Berlin and was built on the south bank of the Spree in the Tiergarten. The Berlin vernacular soon aptly named the building "Pregnant Oyster". The building also produced a sad headline, because on May 21, 1980, during a press conference, the southern part of the roof edge collapsed due to a structural failure.

GER: Hi ihr lieben da draußen. Irgendwie ist es schon komisch, wenn die Wahrzeichen einer Stadt so verweist sind. Nur ganz ganz wenige Leute haben unseren Weg am Freitag gekreuzt bei meiner kleinen Foto-Tour mit meinem Kind.

Das Haus der Kulturen der Welt (früherer Name: Kongresshalle) war der US-amerikanische Beitrag zur Internationalen Bauausstellung 1957. Das technisch revolutionäre Gebäude wurde als Geschenk Amerikas an das befreundete West-Berlin deklariert und entstand am Südufer der Spree im Tiergarten. Der Berliner Volksmund nannte das Gebäude bald treffend "Schwangere Auster". Eine traurige Schlagzeile produzierte das Haus ebenfalls, denn am 21. Mai 1980 stürzte der südliche Teil des Dachrandes während einer Pressekonferenz durch einen Statikfehler ein.

The Brandenburg Gate at Luisenplatz in Potsdam was built in 1771 by Carl von Gontard and Georg Christian Unger on behalf of Friedrich II. It stands at the western end of Brandenburger Straße, which runs in a straight line to the church of St. Peter and Paul. It is one of the three preserved city gates of Potsdam.

Earlier, in 1733, there was another, simpler gate at the same place, which resembled a city gate. Together with the city wall, a kind of customs wall or excise wall, and the other gates, it was supposed to prevent desertion and smuggling.

ENG: The Victory Column on the Großer Stern in the Großer Tiergarten is one of Germany's most important national monuments and one of Berlin's most important sights. Built between 1864 and 1873 by Heinrich Strack on Königsplatz to commemorate the Wars of Unification, it was moved to its current location between 1938 and 1939 together with the monuments to Bismarck, Roon and Moltke. When it was inaugurated on 2 September 1873, Prussia had also defeated Austria and its German allies in the Austro-Prussian War (1866) and France in the Franco-Prussian War (1870-71), which gave the monument a new purpose. The addition of the 8.3 metre high bronze sculpture of the Roman goddess of victory Victoria, designed by Friedrich Drake, gave the Victory Column its current height of 67 metres. In the Berlin vernacular, she is also known as the "Goldelse".

ENG: On Saturday the 15.06.2019 the "Long Night of Sciences" was in Berlin again and this time I went to the Technical University at the Straße des 17. Juni. Of course not only because of the architecture, but also because of the many interesting experiments.

The TUBerlin "Auditorium Maximum" Lecture Hall 105 is the largest hall of the Technical University and also has a small special feature. These are not only the 1192 seats in the lower and upper tier but also an interactive equipment. For example, a wheelchair-friendly, height-adjustable speaker/multimedia desk with touch panel control and a 12-metre-wide, motorised screen for two data and video projector projections.

GER: Am Samstag dem 15.06.2019 war in Berlin mal wieder die „Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften“ und mich hat es dieses mal in die Technische Universität an der Straße des 17. Juni verschlagen. Natürlich nicht nur wegen der Architektur, auch wegen der vielen interessanten Experimente.

ENG: Here you get to see the Steigenberger Grandhotel Stairwell, this luxury hotel with its beautiful historic staircase eye - former trade fair building from 1909 called Handelshof - is located in the historic Leipzig Old Town and not far from the Nikolaikirche. In the immediate vicinity are the pedestrian zone, the market with the Old Town Hall and the historic Naschmarkt, as well as the main train station, which is about 700 meters away.

GER: Hier bekommt Ihr das Steigenberger Grandhotel Treppenhaus zu Gesicht, dieses Luxushotel mit seinem wunderschönen historischen Treppenauge - ehemaliges Messegebäude von 1909 namens Handelshof - liegt in der historischen Leipziger Altstadt und unweit von der Nikolaikirche. In direkter Nachbarschaft befinden sich die Fußgängerzone, der Markt mit dem Alten Rathaus und der historische Naschmarkt sowie der etwa 700 Meter entfernte Hauptbahnhof.

In engen Bögen schlängelt sich die Summerauer Bahn bei Gaisbach durch das Mühlviertel. Am 01. November 2015 war die 1116.194 für die Beförderung des R 1543 "Anton Bruckner" von Praha hl.n. nach Linz HBF eingeteilt. Der Wagenpark präsentiert sich einheitlich in Najbrt-Farben.

Gaomei was called Gaomi in the Qing Dynasty and was renamed during the Japanese occupation. The wetlands here are over 300 hectares, but the area is only 1/10 of Dadu River wetlands. The geography is divided into 7 categories, which results in diversified organisms in this area. Gaomei Wetlands is one of the few places that has wild ducks.

Despite the small area, Gaomei Wetlands have special soils mixed with mud and sand. Ecology here breeds diversified organisms of both plants and animals. Research shows that animals here include birds, fishes, crabs and invertebrates.

高美濕地雖然面積不大，但是由於泥質及沙質灘地兼具，加上與河口沼澤地帶鑲嵌在一起，所以孕育了豐富又複雜的濕地生態，以及目前所知全台灣最大族群的雲林莞草區，形成乾濕相間伴有植物生長的複雜地形，因為地形多變，生態種類亦相當複雜，主要為鳥類、魚類、蟹類及其他無脊椎類等生物。

ENG: The Nauener Gate (in german: Nauener Tor) is one of the three preserved city gates of Potsdam. It was built in 1755 and is considered the first building of neo-Gothic style on the European continent. In 1755, i.e. 20 years before the actual beginning of neo-Gothic architecture on the continent, an architecture in Gothic forms was created with the Nauener Tor in Potsdam after a sketch by Friedrich II by the architect Johann Gottfried Büring. In 1867-69, King Wilhelm I rebuilt this gate into its present form.

Originally, a city wall connected the Nauen Gate with the other two gates, the Jägertor and the Brandenburg Gate at Luisenplatz. Instead of the city wall, which has not been preserved, a promenade now connects the three remaining Potsdam city gates. The Nauener Tor is located in the immediate vicinity of the Dutch Quarter. Its users were the military and traders, craftsmen and administrations up to the restaurant. The square in front of the Nauener Tor has been a popular meeting place for Potsdammers and their guests since the last renovation of the gate and redesign of the traffic management in 1996 with the high density of cafés, restaurants and bars. The tram tracks run directly through the Nauener Tor. In addition, there are only two other cities in the German-speaking area with such gate crossings, namely the tram in Freiburg im Breisgau and the cage tower at the Bern tram.

Es wurde 1755 erbaut und gilt als erstes Bauwerk neugotischen Stils auf dem europäischen Kontinent. 1755, also 20 Jahre vor dem eigentlichen Beginn der Neugotik auf dem Kontinent, entstand nach einer Skizze Friedrichs II. durch den Architekten Johann Gottfried Büring mit dem Nauener Tor in Potsdam eine Architektur in gotischen Formen. 1867–69 wurde dieses Tor durch König Wilhelm I. in seine heutige Gestalt umgebaut.

Ursprünglich verband eine Stadtmauer das Nauener Tor mit den beiden anderen Toren, dem Jägertor und dem Brandenburger Tor am Luisenplatz. Anstelle der nicht erhaltenen Stadtmauer verbindet heute eine Promenade die drei noch verbliebenen Potsdamer Stadttore. Das Nauener Tor befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Holländischen Viertel. Seine Nutzer waren das Militär und Händler, Handwerker und Verwaltungen bis zum Restaurant. Der Platz vor dem Nauener Tor ist seit der letzten Renovierung des Tores und Umgestaltung der Verkehrsführung 1996 mit der hohen Dichte von Cafés, Restaurants und Bars ein beliebter Treffpunkt der Potsdamer und ihrer Gäste. Die Gleise der Straßenbahn führen direkt durch das Nauener Tor. Darüber hinaus gibt es im deutschsprachigen Raum nur noch zwei andere Städte mit derartigen Tordurchfahrten, hierbei handelt es sich um die der Straßenbahn in Freiburg im Breisgau und den Käfigturm bei der Straßenbahn Bern.

Here I am at the top of the large hill HS 137 with a tower height of 43.5 meters. A wonderful view over Oberstdorf. The approach length is 106.5 meters and it has a slope of 37.5 degrees. The large hill HS 137 from 2003 is especially known for the opening jump of the Four Hills Tournament. In addition, this ski jump is also used for training in summer and winter.

Oberstdorf is located in the Bavarian Oberallgäu at the southernmost tip of Germany. The curative-climatic health resort and Kneipp spa with its alpine skiing areas on the Nebelhorn, the Söllereck and the Fellhorn/Kanzelwand, the cross-country ski runs, the ice stadium and also the ski jumps and the ski flying hill serve as a winter sports field and are also a popular destination for mountaineers.

Hier stehe ich ganz oben auf der Großschanze HS 137 mit einer Turmhohe von 43.5 Meter. Ein wunderbarer Ausblick über Oberstdorf. Die Anlauflänge beträgt 106.5 Meter und Sie hat eine Neigung von 37,5 Grad. Die Großschanze HS 137 vom 2003 ist vor allem durch das Auftaktspringen der Vierschanzentournee bekannt. Außerdem ist auch diese Schanze sowohl im Sommer als auch Winter für den Traininsbetrieb im Einsatz.

Oberstdorf liegt im bayerischen Oberallgäu am südlichsten Zipfel von Deutschlands. Der heilklimatische Kur- und Kneippkurort dient mit seinen alpinen Skigebieten am Nebelhorn, dem Söllereck und dem Fellhorn/Kanzelwand, den Langlaufloipen, dem Eisstadion und auch den Skisprungschanzen sowie der Skiflugschanze als Wintersportplatz und ist zudem ein beliebtes Ziel für Bergsteiger.

ENG: The ArtWeek is currently running in Berlin and that is why I decided to put my flower photographer challenge with Pixelchen1 under this motto of "art". Hence young lady, that is now my work to our challenge.

GER: Zur Zeit läuft in Berlin die ArtWeek und deshalb habe ich mich dazu entschlossen, meine Blumen Fotografier Herausforderung mit Pixelchen1 unter dieses Motto "Kunst" zu stellen. Also junge Dame, dass ist nun mein Werk zu unserer Herausforderung.

In 1977, for the purpose of alleviating environmental damage caused by farming and building in Kenting area, late president (then premier) Chiang Jing-Guo instructed that "preservation of natural resources and the ecosystem must be taken into consideration during construction practices; plans should be made to establish a national park in Kenting area".

墾丁國家公園成立於1984年1月，是我國第一座成立的國家公園，三面臨海，為我國少數同時涵蓋陸域與海域的國家公園之一，海域面積15206.09公頃、陸域面積18083.50公頃，合計共33,289.59公頃。由於百萬年來地殼運動不斷的作用，陸地與海洋彼此交蝕影響，造就了本區高位珊瑚礁、海蝕地形、崩崖地形等奇特的地理景觀。特殊的海陸位置加上熱帶氣候的催化，此孕育出豐富多變的生態樣貌，海岸林帶的植物群落尤其特殊罕見，每年還有大批候鳥自北方飛來過冬，數量之多蔚為奇觀；海底的珊瑚景觀更是繽紛絢麗，為墾丁國家公園妝點出卓絕風貌。

從下水堀至萬里桐沿途海水蔚藍清澈，海底景觀美麗，已劃為海域生態保護區。海底地形富於變化，巨大礁石林立，間有深溝及裂谷，形成懸崖絕壁、峽谷隧道等奇特景觀。全區遍布生長良好的各類石軟珊瑚、成叢的海扇、海柳及群游的珊瑚礁魚類等，此外各種貝類及海百合、海藤等分佈亦多。從萬里桐至蟳廣嘴間之海域，已劃為海底公園預定區，淺處為平緩斜坡，各種形狀之石珊瑚生長密集，且種類之多，是恆春半島沿海石珊瑚生物相最豐富的地區之一。水深10公尺以下，則地形富變化，波浪侵蝕作用和礁石崩落造成的各種地形景觀，如：石洞、石穴、拱門、礁石丘........等均可發現，礁石表面大部份為生長稠密的石珊瑚類所覆蓋，且有形形色色的珊瑚礁魚類悠游及貝類、海百合、海星等點綴其間，景觀優美。 本處計畫鼓勵民資於萬里桐設立海底展望台、水族館等，以及開闢玻璃底遊艇航線，提供遊客一飽水晶宮綺麗世界的眼福。蟳廣嘴之外海，民間已設有定置漁網，亦為一發展「產業觀光」的良好地區。

The Soester Eng is an elongated sand hill in Soest, the Netherlands, the long eastern side of which borders the low, marshy peat soil of the Eempolder. The Soester Eng covers about 60 ha.

On the right you see mill the Windhond from the 15th century.

On the left you can see the tower of the old Church Dutch Reformed Church in Soest from the 11th century.

ENG: Here you get a little insight into the city life of Hamburg. You can see the S-Bahn line S21 at the Berliner Tor from Bergedorf to Elbgaustraße. This station is not particularly, but he saved me the big central station to change and he gave me by his naming a certain sense of home.

[ENG] The Mushrooms of Seville is an iconic monument of the city, its wooden structure in the shape of a parasol is the largest in the world, measuring 150 x 70 m and its height is 28.5 m, built with 3,500 pieces joined at about 3,000 knots with 16 million screws. It houses a traditional market and restaurants on the ground floor, the Anticuarium Museum in the basement with the archaeological remains from Roman times discovered during the work, and a panoramic viewpoint on the roof that allows the contemplation of the city and its monuments along a walkway of 250 meters. The project -called Metropol Parasol- is by the German architect Jürgen Mayer and was chosen from 65 proposals in an international competition. It was inaugurated in 2011. Alberga un mercado tradicional y restaurantes en la planta baja, el Museo Anticuarium en el sótano con los restos arqueológicos de época romana descubiertos durante la obra, y un mirador panorámico en la cubierta que permite la contemplación de la ciudad y sus monumentos recorriendo una pasarela de 250 metros. El proyecto –denominado Metropol Parasol- es del arquitecto alemán Jürgen Mayer y fue elegido entre 65 propuestas en un concurso internacional.
