ENG: The view from the city side of the gate of the Brandenburg state capital Potsdam can be seen.
The Brandenburg Gate at Luisenplatz in Potsdam was built in 1771 by Carl von Gontard and Georg Christian Unger on behalf of Friedrich II. It stands at the western end of Brandenburger Straße, which runs in a straight line to the church of St. Peter and Paul. It is one of the three preserved city gates of Potsdam.
Earlier, in 1733, there was another, simpler gate at the same place, which resembled a city gate. Together with the city wall, a kind of customs wall or excise wall, and the other gates, it was supposed to prevent desertion and smuggling.

Früher, 1733, gab es an derselben Stelle ein anderes, einfacheres Tor, welches einem Stadttor ähnelte. Zusammen mit der Stadtmauer, einer Art Zollmauer oder Akzisemauer, und den anderen Toren sollte es die Desertion und den Schmuggel unterbinden.

Ковель) – Izów (ukr. Ізов). The train passes the 8 km junction, crossing paths with locomotive 2M62U-0158 (rus. 2М62У-0158), which is hauling a coal train from Poland on the Hrubieszów LHS – Izów – Kovel route.

Eine Calanque ist ein enger, steilwandiger Küsteneinschnitt im Kalkgestein des Mittelmeeres. Eine solche Bucht hat einen fjordartigen Charakter. Besonders reizvoll ist das Massif des Calanques entlang der Küste des Départements Bouches-du-Rhône in Südfrankreich auf 20 km Länge zwischen Marseille und Cassis, das auch die Erhebungen des Massif de Marseilleveyre (432 m) und des Mont Puget (565 m) umschließt. Einer der letzten lokbespannten Züge auf der Zollernbahn war die über Mittag verkehrende RB 6317 (Tübingen – Sigmaringen), die auf zahlreichen UNterwegsbahnhöfen großzügige Kreuzungsaufenthalte hatte. Am 26. April 1996 ist es die Aufgabe der Ulmer 215 061, den Zug bei Inzigkofen durch das enge Schmeiental gen Donau zu befördern. Soeben verlässt die Fuhre den 326m langen Hönbergtunnel.

Ich war dort nur zu Besuch. Nach ungefähr 20 Jahren an alter Wirkungsstätte, das waren noch Zeiten. ☻ Gerade zu im ersten Obergeschoss befindet sich der Zentral-OP. Lang, lang ist her.

ENG: The Nauener Gate (in german: Nauener Tor) is one of the three preserved city gates of Potsdam. It was built in 1755 and is considered the first building of neo-Gothic style on the European continent. In 1755, i.e. 20 years before the actual beginning of neo-Gothic architecture on the continent, an architecture in Gothic forms was created with the Nauener Tor in Potsdam after a sketch by Friedrich II by the architect Johann Gottfried Büring. In 1867-69, King Wilhelm I rebuilt this gate into its present form.
Originally, a city wall connected the Nauen Gate with the other two gates, the Jägertor and the Brandenburg Gate at Luisenplatz. Instead of the city wall, which has not been preserved, a promenade now connects the three remaining Potsdam city gates. The Nauener Tor is located in the immediate vicinity of the Dutch Quarter. Its users were the military and traders, craftsmen and administrations up to the restaurant. The square in front of the Nauener Tor has been a popular meeting place for Potsdammers and their guests since the last renovation of the gate and redesign of the traffic management in 1996 with the high density of cafés, restaurants and bars. The tram tracks run directly through the Nauener Tor. In addition, there are only two other cities in the German-speaking area with such gate crossings, namely the tram in Freiburg im Breisgau and the cage tower at the Bern tram.
GER: Das Nauener Tor ist eines der drei erhaltenen Stadttore von Potsdam. Es wurde 1755 erbaut und gilt als erstes Bauwerk neugotischen Stils auf dem europäischen Kontinent. 1755, also 20 Jahre vor dem eigentlichen Beginn der Neugotik auf dem Kontinent, entstand nach einer Skizze Friedrichs II. durch den Architekten Johann Gottfried Büring mit dem Nauener Tor in Potsdam eine Architektur in gotischen Formen. 1867–69 wurde dieses Tor durch König Wilhelm I. in seine heutige Gestalt umgebaut.
Ursprünglich verband eine Stadtmauer das Nauener Tor mit den beiden anderen Toren, dem Jägertor und dem Brandenburger Tor am Luisenplatz. Anstelle der nicht erhaltenen Stadtmauer verbindet heute eine Promenade die drei noch verbliebenen Potsdamer Stadttore. Das Nauener Tor befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Holländischen Viertel. Seine Nutzer waren das Militär und Händler, Handwerker und Verwaltungen bis zum Restaurant. Der Platz vor dem Nauener Tor ist seit der letzten Renovierung des Tores und Umgestaltung der Verkehrsführung 1996 mit der hohen Dichte von Cafés, Restaurants und Bars ein beliebter Treffpunkt der Potsdamer und ihrer Gäste. Die Gleise der Straßenbahn führen direkt durch das Nauener Tor. Darüber hinaus gibt es im deutschsprachigen Raum nur noch zwei andere Städte mit derartigen Tordurchfahrten, hierbei handelt es sich um die der Straßenbahn in Freiburg im Breisgau und den Käfigturm bei der Straßenbahn Bern.

Gaomei was called Gaomi in the Qing Dynasty and was renamed during the Japanese occupation. The wetlands here are over 300 hectares, but the area is only 1/10 of Dadu River wetlands. The geography is divided into 7 categories, which results in diversified organisms in this area. Gaomei Wetlands is one of the few places that has wild ducks.
Despite the small area, Gaomei Wetlands have special soils mixed with mud and sand. Ecology here breeds diversified organisms of both plants and animals. Research shows that animals here include birds, fishes, crabs and invertebrates.

[ENG] The Mushrooms of Seville is an iconic monument of the city, its wooden structure in the shape of a parasol is the largest in the world, measuring 150 x 70 m and its height is 28.5 m, built with 3,500 pieces joined at about 3,000 knots with 16 million screws. It houses a traditional market and restaurants on the ground floor, the Anticuarium Museum in the basement with the archaeological remains from Roman times discovered during the work, and a panoramic viewpoint on the roof that allows the contemplation of the city and its monuments along a walkway of 250 meters. The project -called Metropol Parasol- is by the German architect Jürgen Mayer and was chosen from 65 proposals in an international competition. It was inaugurated in 2011. Ganz schön eng ging es am Einschnitt zwischen Mägdesprung und Drahtzug zu. Hier fegt uns am 11.02.1989 die 99 6001 mit ihrem P 14465 von den Gleisen...;-)
Der Thalhof bei Reichenau an der Rax, zu Kaisers Zeiten ein Gasthof und Hotel der Familie Waissnix, heute ein Veranstaltungsort für Theater und Lesungen, ist Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen auf den Gahns durch die hinter dem Thalhof liegende Bergschlucht Eng, aber auch für eine Wanderung auf dem Kaisersteig durch den Bergwald links des Thalhofs.
The building ensemble Thalhof next to Reichenau an der Rax, at imperial times a inn and hotel of the family Waissnix, nowadays a event centre for theatre and readings, is starting point for hikes up to the Gahns through the behind the Thalhof lying canyon Eng, but rather for a hike at the hunters path Kaisersteig through the mountain forest left of the Thalhof.
