General Motors donated $130,000 to the colleges of Engineering and Business during the Project Showcase. The money will be used for diversity programs among other things. Accepting GM's check on the College of Engineering's behalf was Renata Engel.

"The Eng-Skell Company Building at 1035 Howard was designed by A.C. Griewank, a Port engineer in 1930 and displays dramatic Art Deco detailing in the form of pylons emerging from the pilasters above the roofline."
