ENG: This beautiful white staircase is hidden in a commercial building in a shopping arcade in the Leipzig district of Mitte and not far from the suburban train station Mitte. Actually, I just wanted to quickly buy a new shirt, because it was just too hot on this day and so I found in the H&M store this gem. ☻

GER: Dieses wunderschöne weiße Treppenhaus versteckt sich in einem Geschäftshaus in einer Einkaufspassage im Leipziger Stadtteil Mitte und unweit der S-Bahn Station Mitte. Eigentlich wollte ich nur auf die Schnelle ein neues Shirt kaufen, weil es einfach zu warm war an diesen Tag und so fand ich im H&M Store dieses Schmuckstück. ☻

ENG: On the way to the Baltic Sea coast to Usedom-Zinnowitz. Somewhere on the B111 highway in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania near Züssow and heavy snowfall. Funnily enough, I finally saw snow here in this winter. Sorry, it's spring already on April 1st. No joke. And then a good 20 centimeters. Now spring can come.
GER: Auf dem Weg zur Ostseeküste nach Usedom-Zinnowitz. Irgendwo auf der Landstraße B111 in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern bei Züssow und dichtem Schneetreiben. Irrwitzigerweise habe ich hier endlich mal Schnee diesen Winter gesehen. Entschuldigung, es ist ja am 1. April schon Frühling. Kein Scherz. Und dann gleich gute 20 Zentimeter. Nun darf der Frühling ruhig kommen.

GER: Der Herbst hat viele Gesichter, ob Regen, Nebel, fallendes buntes Laub und die kürzer werdenden Tage mit der Dunkelheit. So wie bei diesem shot, der leichte Nieselregen und der tiefe Nebel am Rande von Berlin.

Una vista algo distinta (y más habitual) de mi hija... Tomada bajo una bonita luz vespertina en un entrenamiento en el Ebro, durante una breve visita de regreso a casa antes de partir (otra vez!) para la concentración de cara al Mundial S23 el año pasado.
ENG: The Beer Brush is a 47-metre-high tower restaurant in futuristic pop architecture of the 1970s in the Berlin district of Steglitz. The popular name comes from the Berlin vernacular; the association of architects who designed the building was a tree. The tower, which opened in 1976, was built according to plans by architects Ralf Schüler and Ursulina Schüler-Witte, who also designed the ICC Berlin. It is integrated into the Joachim-Tiburtius-Bridge, which spans the Steglitzer Schloßstreet at Franz-Amrehn-Place in the form of an expressway. In 2010 the facade of the beer brush was redesigned by international street art artists. Since 2011 the building has been closed for the time being due to organisational problems. The building has been a listed building since January 2017.

GER: Der Bierpinsel ist ein 47 Meter hohes Turmrestaurant in futuristisch anmutender Poparchitektur der 1970er Jahre im Berliner Ortsteil Steglitz. Die volkstümliche Benennung entstammt dem Berliner Volksmund; die Assoziation der Architekten, die den Bau entwarfen, war ein Baum. Der 1976 eröffnete Turm wurde nach Plänen der Architekten Ralf Schüler und Ursulina Schüler-Witte erbaut, die auch das ICC Berlin entwarfen. Er ist in die Joachim-Tiburtius-Brücke integriert, die an dieser Stelle die Steglitzer Schloßstraße am Franz-Amrehn-Platz in Form einer Schnellstraße überspannt. Im Jahre 2010 wurde damit begonnen, die Fassade des Bierpinsels neu zu gestalten von internationalen Streetart-Künstlern. Seit 2011 ist das Gebäude vorerst geschlossen wegen Organisatorischen Problemen. Seit Januar 2017 steht der Bau unter Denkmalschutz.

ENG: The underground station "Rotes Rathaus" is one of the two newest open underground stations in the Berlin district Mitte of the same name. It is part of the extension of the U5 underground line from Hönow deep in the east of the city beyond Alexanderplatz to Brandenburg Gate and on to the terminus at Hauptbahnhof. The construction had its ground-breaking ceremony in 2010 and it has now been ceremoniously opened on 4 December 2020 at 12 noon. The second new station also opened on 4 December and is called "Unter den Linden". The third and last new station will then be called "Museumsinsel" and is scheduled to open in mid-2021.

GER: Der U-Bahnhof „Rotes Rathaus“ ist einer von zwei der neusten offenen U-Bahnhöfe im Berliner Ortsteil Mitte des gleichnamigen Bezirks. Er ist Teil der Verlängerung der U-Bahn-Linie U5 von Hönow tief im Osten der Stadt über den Alexanderplatz hinaus zum Brandenburger Tor bis zur Endstation Hauptbahnhof. Der Bau hatte seinen ersten Spatenstich 2010 und er wurde nun am 4. Dezember 2020 um 12 Uhr feierlich eröffnet. Der zweite neue Bahnhof eröffnete ebenfalls am 04.12. und trägt den Namen „Unter den Linden“. Der dritte und letzte neue Bahnhof wird dann den Namen „Museumsinsel“ haben und soll Mitte 2021 erst eröffnen.
ENG: Travemünde is a casual resort on the Baltic Sea and a port for Scandinavian ferries. Fish restaurants line the banks of the Trave River and the Travemünde beach promenade overlooking the Bay of Lübeck. Fish sandwiches are sold at stalls in the fishing port. The Old Lighthouse from 1539, a brick building, now houses a maritime museum. The historic four-masted barque Passat can be visited for a fee.
The Passat is a four-masted steel barque that was launched as one of the legendary Flying P-Liners of the F. Laeisz shipping company in 1911 at Blohm & Voss and is now moored in Travemünde harbor. At that time, she sailed, for example, from Europe and South America or between Australia and Europe as a wheat cargo sailing ship.

GER: Travemünde ist ein zwangloser Ferienort an der Ostsee und ein Hafen für skandinavische Fähren. Fischrestaurants säumen die Ufer der Trave und der Strandpromenade von Travemünde mit Blick auf die Lübecker Bucht. An Ständen im Fischereihafen werden Fischbrötchen verkauft. Im Alten Leuchtturm von 1539, einem Backsteinbau, befindet sich heute ein Schifffahrtsmuseum. Die historische Viermastbark Passat kann im Rahmen eines Entgeltes besichtigt werden.
Die Passat ist eine Viermast-Stahlbark, die als einer der legendären Flying P-Liner der Reederei F. Laeisz 1911 bei Blohm & Voss vom Stapel lief und heute im Hafen von Travemünde liegt. Damals fuhr sie zum Beispiel von Europa und Südamerika oder zwischen Australien und Europa als Weizen Frachtsegelschiff.

ENG: Hi, everybody out there. Somehow it's strange when the landmarks of a city are so empty. Only very few people have crossed my way on Monday during my little bike tour to free my head from the clinic everyday life. That is somehow eerie and surreal.
You can see the Brandenburger Gate in Berlin's Mitte district.
GER: Hi ihr lieben da draußen. Irgendwie ist es schon komisch, wenn die Wahrzeichen einer Stadt so verweist sind. Nur ganz ganz wenige Leute haben meinen Weg am Montag gekreuzt bei meiner kleinen Radtour um den Kopf vom Klinik Alltag freizubekommen. Das ist schon irgendwie unheimlich und surreal.
Zu sehen ist der Brandenburger Tor im Berliner Ortsteil Mitte.
ENG: A snapshot of Berlin Alexanderplatz. Leaving the subway station, I discovered these two turtledoves (in German: Turteltaube) and found the dancing of the two strange birds somehow amusing. Was it just jealousy or a love dance? ☻

GER: Ein Schnappschuss vom Berliner Alexanderplatz. Beim verlassen des U-Bahnhofs entdeckte ich diese zwei Turteltauben und fand das getänzel der zwei schrägen Vögel irgendwie amüsant. War das nur Futterneid oder doch ein Liebestanz? ☻
ENG: The city is still empty early in the morning. No people at the stop, an empty tram and then boredom comes up. So I take some pictures. ☻
GER: Die Stadt ist am frühen Morgen noch leer. Keine Menschen an der Haltestelle, eine leere Straßenbahn und dann kommt Langeweile auf. Also mache ich ein paar Bilder. ☻
ENG: The term Strelasund crossing refers to the two bridge connections of the island of Rügen over the Strelasund to the Vorpommern mainland near Stralsund.
The new three-lane high bridge with its striking pylon legs can be seen. It bears the name "Rügenbridge" and was opened in 2007. It connects the island of Rügen with the Hanseatic and World Heritage city of Stralsund.
I have photographed the bridge from the "Rügendamm" bridge from 1937.This old bridge is directly next to the new one and accommodates the railway line to Sassnitz.
GER: Mit dem Begriff Strelasundquerung werden die beiden Brückenverbindungen der Insel Rügen über den Strelasund zum vorpommerschen Festland bei Stralsund bezeichnet.
Zu sehen ist die neue dreispurigen Hochbrücke mit der markanten Pylonstiele. Diese trägt den Namen „Rügenbrücke“ und wurde 2007 eröffnet. Sie verbindet die Insel Rügen mit der Hanse- und Weltkulturerbestadt Stralsund.
Fotografiert habe ich die Brücke von der „Rügendamm“ Brücke von 1937. Diese alte Brücke liegt direkt neben der neuen und beherbergt die Bahnstrecke nach Sassnitz.
The Big Maple Plain (1216 m) is located in the middle of the Alpine Park Karwendel on the Eng Alp in Tyrol, Austria and can be reached only via Upper Bavaria.
The Eng Alp is the biggest alpine pasture of Europe. Here everybody can see how farmers are important for taking care of the landscape. Thanks to their constant care and a regular use of the alpine pastures the big Ahornboden (Maple Plain) can be maintained in perfect conditions. In summer almost 500 cows graze on this alpine pasture and some of the maples are older than 500 years. This splendid tree is one of my most favourite.
