The Schnoor quarter is the oldest documented quarter of Bremen and it has largely preserved its medieval character.
First mentioned in the 13th century. The two oldest remaining buildings are from 1401 and 1402 respectively. Some buildings are just remaining facades or have been relocated from other locations.

Dass die Winterhelmlinge attraktive Gruppen aus einzeln stehenden Pilzen bilden ist bekannt. Eine Konstellation, wie sie in dieser Aufnahme zu sehen ist, hat allerdings Seltenheitswert. Die kleineren Pilzexemplare winden sich um den in der Mitte stehenden größeren Pilz, als suchten sie Schutz in seiner Nähe. Welches Unheil scheint ihnen zu drohen? Wir wissen es nicht.
dort ist es sooo schön :-) Wenn man über Nacht bleibt kann man die Natur noch viel besser geniessen und die Ruhe.

Muore Alfonso II, ultimo duca degli Estensi e i territori del Ducato di Ferrara passano allo Stato Pontificio. Nel frattempo il Delta del Po avanzava verso nord con rami di Tramontana, di Levante e di Scirocco.
Il Po di Tramontana, in particolare, cominciò con i suoi sedimenti ad alzare i fondali della laguna verso Chioggia.
1600-1604
Per timore che l'espansione a Nord-Est del Delta andasse ad interrare la laguna di Venezia, agli inizi del 1600 il Po fu deviato a sud verso la Sacca di Goro con un canale artificiale che è il suo letto attuale. Questo intervento detto "Taglio di Porto Viro", determinò l'inizio della formazione del Delta moderno.
Il vecchio letto divenne un canale navigabile, il Canal Bianco-Po di Levante. Se prima del 1600 il Delta si espandeva di circa 53 ettari l'anno, dal 1604 al 1840 si passò a 135 ettari l'anno.

Alfonso II, the last Duke of the Este family, dies and the territories of the Duchy of Ferrara pass to the Papal State. In the meantime, the Po Delta advanced northwards with branches of Tramontana, Levante and Scirocco.
The Po di Tramontana, in particular, began with its sediments to raise the depths of the lagoon towards Chioggia.
1600-1604
For fear that the north-eastern expansion of the Delta would bury the Venice lagoon, in the early 1600s the Po was diverted south towards the Sacca di Goro with an artificial canal which is its current bed. This intervention called "Taglio di Porto Viro", determined the beginning of the formation of the modern Delta.
The old bed became a navigable canal, the Canal Bianco-Po di Levante. If before 1600 the Delta expanded by about 53 hectares a year, from 1604 to 1840 it increased to 135 hectares a year.

The area of Xochimilco, located SE Mexico City, is what remains of the old wetlands, fed by fresh water springs, which covered the whole basin in the Pre-Hispanic period. Partially filled to create chinampas (artificial islands), it constitutes a canal system that was the main transportation venue until the 20th Century. Encompasing unique endangered plants and fauna, the whole area is seriously threatened since pumping of the underground water rocketed along the past century. It was delclared World Heritage Site in 1987, as an attempt to protect the area. It's a very popular place, not only for foreing visitors: locals, including Mexico City's entire families, do often go there to celebrate events, hiring one or more big trajineras along wiht Mariachis, to have lunch together.
El área de Xochimilco se sitúa al SE de la Ciudad de Maexico, es lo que queda del antiguo humedal, alimentado por manantiales de agua dulce, que cubría toda la cuenca en el Periodo Pre-Hispánico. Parcialmente rellenado para crear chinampas (islas artificiales), constituye un sistemas de canales que fue el principal medio de transporte hasta el siglo 20. Alberga ejemplares únicos de fauna y vegetación, y todo el área está seriamente amenazada desde que el bombeo de agua de los acuífieros se disparó a lo largo del pasado siglo. Fue declarada Patrimonio de la Humanidad en 1987, en un intento de proteger la zona. Es un sitio muy popular, no solo para los extranjeros: los habitantes de la zona, incluyendo familias enteras de la Ciudad de Mexico, acuden allí a menudo para celebrar eventos, alquilando una o varias grandes trajineras junto a algún Mariachi, paa comer juntos.
ENG: The weather is not so great at the moment in Berlin, but a walk along the Spree River is really refreshing. I need this once in a while.
GER: Das Wetter ist zwar nicht ganz so toll zur Zeit in Berlin, aber ein Spaziergang an der Spree ist echt erquickend. Ich brauche das ab und zu.
ENG: A backyard view with many corners, edges and reflections in the middle of the Berlin district Mitte. I discovered this large backyard by chance while walking along the Spree river near the Friedrichstraße Structure suburban train station and was immediately thrilled by the sight of the architecture and the view of the sky.
Why "Am Zirkus"? Because that's the name of the street by the building today. ☻ The street was actually called Markthallenstraße when it was built in 1865, but it was quickly renamed. Because the market hall was an economic failure. In 1873, the "Markthallen-Circus" (later taken over by the Circus Renz) opened in the building, whereupon the street was renamed, first Am Circus, since 1903 in the current spelling. Nowadays, of course, the market hall is history and in the same place stands a new building since 2014 in which there is also a hotel.

GER: Ein Hinterhof Ausblick mit vielen Ecken, Kanten und Spiegelungen inmitten des Berliner Bezirks Mitte. Ich habe diesen großen Hinterhof durch Zufall entdeckt beim Spaziergang an der Spree nahe des S-Bahnhofs Friedrichstraße und war sofort begeistert von dem Anblick der Architektur und dem Ausblick in den Himmel.
Warum „Am Zirkus“? Weil die heutige Straße am Gebäude so heißt. ☻ Eigentlich hieß die Straße bei ihrer Erbauung 1865 mal Markthallenstraße. diese wurde aber schnell umbenannt. Da die Markthalle ein wirtschaftlicher Misserfolg war. 1873 eröffnete in dem Gebäude der „Markthallen-Circus“ (später vom Circus Renz übernommen), woraufhin die Straße umbenannt wurde, zunächst Am Circus, seit 1903 in der heutigen Schreibweise. Heutzutage ist die Markthalle natürlich Geschichte und an selbige stelle steht seit 2014 ein Neubau in dem sich auch ein Hotel befindet.

ENG: A wonderful 48 megapixel view from the 1838 meter high Breitenberg, across the Kesselmoos to the Aggenstein. The Aggenstein is a 1986 m high mountain in the Allgäu Alps and Tyrol directly on the border of Germany and Austria. There it is located in the Bavarian part of the Tannheimer mountains a few kilometers south of the town of Pfronten in Germany and Vils in Austria.

GER: Ein wunderbarer 48 Megapixel Blick vom 1838 Meter hohen Breitenberg, quer übers Kesselmoos zum Aggenstein. Der Aggenstein ist ein 1986 m ü. A. hoher Berg in den Allgäuer Alpen und Tirol direkt auf der Grenze von Deutschland und Österreich. Dort befindet er sich im bayerischen Teil der Tannheimer Berge wenige Kilometer südlich von der Stadt Pfronten in Deutschland sowie Vils in Österreich.
ENG: In my smartphone memory is now a bit longer a small picture series with 7 photos of the newest subway station of Berlin. The speech is here from the subway station Museum Island (Museumsinsel).
The "Museuminsel" subway station is one of three of the newest subway stations in Berlin's Mitte district of the same name. It is part of the extension of the U5 underground line from Hönow deep in the east of the city beyond Alexanderplatz to Brandenburg Gate and on to the terminus at Hauptbahnhof. Construction had its groundbreaking ceremony in 2010 and it was ceremonially opened in mid-2021. The mega highlight here is the integrated starry sky. The other two new stations are also already in operation and bear the names "Rotes Rathaus" and "Unter den Linden".

GER: In meinem Smartphone Speicher liegt jetzt schon etwas länger eine kleine Bilder Serie mit 7 Fotos vom neusten U-Bahnhof Berlins. Die Rede ist hier vom U-Bahnhof Museumsinsel.
Der U-Bahnhof „Museumsinsel“ ist einer von drei der neusten U-Bahnhöfe im Berliner Ortsteil Mitte des gleichnamigen Bezirks. Er ist Teil der Verlängerung der U-Bahn-Linie U5 von Hönow tief im Osten der Stadt über den Alexanderplatz hinaus zum Brandenburger Tor bis zur Endstation Hauptbahnhof. Der Bau hatte seinen ersten Spatenstich 2010 und er wurde Mitte 2021 feierlich eröffnet. Das mega Highlight ist hier der integrierte Sternenhimmel. Die anderen zwei neuen Bahnhöfe sind ebenfalls schon in Betrieb und tragen die Namen „Rotes Rathaus“ sowie „Unter den Linden“.

ENG: At night to an Suburban train station in the Berlin district of Prenzlauer Berg. The S-Bahn at Greifswalder Straße is once again late. Waiting on the platform is easier if you can take a few pictures. As here for example with an empty advertising board as an eye-catcher.
GER: Nachts auf einen S-Bahnhof im Berliner Bezirk Prenzlauer Berg. Die S-Bahn an der Greifswalder Straße hat mal wieder Verspätung. Da macht sich das warten auf dem Bahnsteig doch leichter wenn man ein paar Bilder machen kann. Wie hier zum Beispiel mit einer leeren Werbetafel als Blickfang.

Un retrato es el balance entre el mundo de la persona fotografiada y el mundo del fotógrafo. El punto óptimo, si es que existe, es un fantástico desafío.
ENG: Yellow like the sun. This is my chosen title. Why? Because there's been almost no sun over Berlin these past few days. But the BVG (Berlin public transport company) pushes its friendly yellow with its buses and trains through the city despite the dreary weather.
GER: Gelb wie die Sonne. So ist mein ausgewählter Titel. Warum? Weil es in den letzten Tagen fast keine Sonne gab über Berlin. Aber die BVG schiebt ihr freundliches Gelb mit ihren Bussen und Bahnen trotz tristen Wetters durch die Stadt.

Ende eines goldenen Oktobertages im Großen Ahornboden in der Eng (Karwendel) - am Tal-Ende die Spritzkarspitze
ENG: The Schäzlerpalais Staircase in Augsburg can be seen, this museum houses the municipal and state art collection. It is located at the Herkulesbrunnen, directly at the corner of Maximilianstraße and Katharinengasse and used to be the city palace of a banker.
The former Palais House on site was replaced by a new building in 1765. This rococo palace was built according to plans by the Munich court architect Karl Albert von Lespilliez. The construction work took four and a half years. In October 1958, Wolfgang Freiherr von Schaezler (fourth generation) donated the building to the city of Augsburg on condition that it never be sold and used exclusively for cultural purposes.
GER: Zu sehen ist das Augsburger Schäzlerpalais Treppenhaus, dieses Museum beherbergt die städtische und staatliche Kunstsammlung. Es liegt am Herkulesbrunnen, direkt an der Maximilianstraße Ecke Katharinengasse und war früher das Stadtschloss eines Bankiers.
Das ehemalige Palais Haus vor Ort wurde ab 1765 durch einen Neubau ersetzt. Dieses Rokoko-Palais entstand nach Plänen des Münchner Hofbaumeisters Karl Albert von Lespilliez. Die Baumaßnahmen dauerten viereinhalb Jahre. Im Oktober 1958 schenkte Wolfgang Freiherr von Schaezler (in vierter Generation) das Gebäude der Stadt Augsburg mit der Auflage, es niemals zu veräußern und ausschließlich für kulturelle Zwecke zu nutzen.

This event illuminates pretty much everything that is called a sight in Berlin.
GER: Das „Festival of Lights“ ist zwar schon vorbei dieses Jahr, aber hier kommt noch mein Nachtrag zum Lichter Schauspiel vom 17.10.2019.
Bei dieser Veranstaltung wird so ziemlich alles beleuchtet, was man in Berlin als Sehenswürdigkeit bezeichnet.
ENG: The Wall of Berlin
Until the fall of the wall in the GDR, there were five watchtowers of the border troops along Bernauer Strasse. On display here is the replica of such a watchtower made of rusty steel with a view of the sky. The location of the steel construction is based on the historical location. Four "square corners" made of Corten steel are installed in a concrete foundation and project 11.80 meters out of the ground. This point of view is located in the Bernauer Street corner Strelitzer Street in Berlin.
GER: Die Berliner Mauer
Bis zum Mauerfall in der DDR gab es entlang der Bernauer Straße fünf Wachtürme der Grenztruppen. Zu sehen ist hier die Nachbildung eines solchen Wachturms aus Rostigen Stahl mit Blick in den Himmel. Die Lage der Stahlkonstruktion orientiert sich am historischen Ort. Vier im Quadrat positionierte „Winkel“ aus Cortenstahl sind in einem Fundament aus Beton eingebaut und ragen 11,80 Meter aus dem Boden. Diese Sehenswürdigkeit steht in der Bernauer Straße ecke Strelitzer Straße in Berlin.

der spiegelnde, refelktierende fast weiße Boden des Museums hilft hier einen fast nahtlosen Übergang zwischen der schimmernden Kunst und dem Raum zu erreichen, das Spiel der Deckenleuchten faszinierte mich ...
es scheinen große lackierte, rechteckige Holzplatten oder Aludibond) zu sein, die einfach in T-Form in den Pastellfarbtönen von Orange zu Rosa, Blau- Grau- und Schwarztönen gehen, die Gruppe nennt sich Winter und lässt im Raum auf der rechten Seite kaum Platz das Kunstwerk zu umkreisen, da es direkt ans Fenster stößt und der T-Arm in der Mitte des Raum bis zur Wand geht ...
ich bekam direkt Schwierigkeiten mit der Aufsichtsperson, die mich den schmalen Restraum an der wand entlang bist zur Mitte nicht gehen lassen wollte und nur nach meinem Einwand, das ich es gewohnt bin vorsicht eng an millionenschwerer Kundt vorbei zu gehen ohne sie zu beschädigen, ließ er mich widerwillig gewähren ...
was dazu führte, dass ich mich zunächst nicht traute mich und die Kamera richtig auszurichten, zumal er fortfuhr zu remonstrieren, dass ich doch bei Gegenlicht keine Chance hätte ...
aber gerade die Überstrahlung war mein Ziel und die späteren ausgerichteten Bilder gefielen mir nicht so gut, wie dieses erkämpfte erste "provisorische" Foto mit Geschichte ... zumal ich schauen musste, dass die Aufsichtsperson nicht in meinen Kompostionsraum lief ... :-) ...

the mirrored, reflective almost white floor of the museum here helps to achieve an almost seamless transition between the shimmering art and the space, the play of the ceiling lights fascinated me ...
it seems to be large painted rectangular wooden panels (or Aludibond) that simply go in T-shape in the pastel shades of orange to pink, blue gray and black tones, the group is called Winter and leaves in the room on the right side hardly any space to circle the work of art, because it directly abuts the window and the T-arm in the middle of the room goes to the wall ...
