Habitat:Gressletter veikanter, åkerland, urbane strøk, områder rundt golfbaner.
Golfspillere på Solkysten har sikkert tråkket og slitt mye på dette grasset. Tannhirse eller bermudagress er mye brukt som gress på golfbaner i varme strøk. Det er varmetålerant, har et kraftig rotsystem og lar ikke andre arter slippe så lett til. For hageeiere kan det derimot være et motstridig ugras da røttene sitter veldig hardt i jorden. På engelsk kalles det derfor også ofte for Devil´sgrass.
Grasset har spredt seg fra golfbanene og er vanlig de fleste stedene på Costa del Sol og rundt golfbaner i Sør-Spania. Akset er karakteristisk, de står ut nesten som rotorbladene på et helikopter.
Blomstene henger tett i blomstringstiden.
Bladene er avlange, spydformete og står nesten rett ut fra bladstengelen.

Die Chesa Planta wurde 1595 von der Familie von Salis als stattliches Patrizierhaus erbaut und 1760 zum Doppelhaus erweitert. Der Bau ist ein eindrucksvolles Beispiel für ein Engadiner Aristokratenhaus.
Im Jahre 1817 ging das Gebäude in den fortan namensgebenden Besitz der Samedener Familie Von Planta über. Diese überführte den Bau 1943 in eine Stiftung Fundaziun Planta-Samedan.
Heute beherbergt die Chesa Planta das Kulturarchiv Oberengadin, das mit einer stattlichen Anzahl von Fotografien, Büchern, Plänen, Herbarblättern und Kunst von der reichen Oberengadiner Kulturgeschichte zeugt. Zudem ist in der Chesa Planta auch die Wohnkultur des 18. und 19. Jhs. erlebbar. Eine rätoromanische Bibliothek ist ebenfalls im Haus untergebracht.
Das Planta Haus Samedan zierte die offizielle 20 Rp. Briefmarke aus der Serie Baudenkmäler der Schweiz, Ausgabe 1968.

[Eng bellow] Lũng Cú là một xã nằm trên đỉnh cao nguyên Đồng Văn, cách trung tâm huyện Đồng Văn 24 km về phía bắc, cách thành phố Hà Giang khoảng 200 km, là điểm cực bắc của Việt Nam.
Có ý kiến cho rằng tên gọi đúng của Lũng Cú là Long Cổ (nghĩa là trống có hình rồng) hoặc Long Cư (nơi rồng ở).
Cột cờ Lũng Cú nằm trên đỉnh Lũng Cú có độ cao khoảng 1.470 m so với mực nước biển. Cột cờ Lũng Cú đặt ở nơi Đài vọng cảnh cực Bắc Việt Nam, cách cực Bắc Việt Nam khoảng 3,3 km theo đường thẳng. Từ trên đỉnh cột cờ nhìn xuống đất có 2 ao nước hai bên núi quanh năm không bao giờ cạn nước được gọi là mắt rồng, là nguồn nước cho người dân tộc hai bản sử dụng. Cột cờ cách huyện lỵ Đồng Văn 24 km, cách thành phố Hà Giang 154 km.

Lũng Cú is a commune located on the top of Đồng Văn plateau, 24 km north of Đồng Văn district center, about 200 km from Hà Giang city, the northernmost point of Vietnam.
There is an opinion that the correct name of Lũng Cú is Long Cổ (meaning dragon-shaped drum) or Long Cư (where dragons live).
Lũng Cú flagpole is located on the top of Lũng Cú with an altitude of about 1,470 m above sea level. Lũng Cú flagpole is located at the place where the northernmost observatory in Vietnam is located, about 3.3 km from the northern pole of Vietnam in a straight line. From the top of the flagpole, looking down at the ground, there are 2 ponds on both sides of the mountain that never run out of water all year round, called dragon's eye, which is a source of water for ethnic minorities in the two villages to use. The flagpole is 24 km from Đồng Văn district town, 154 km from Hà Giang city.
