"It takes 37 muscles to frown, and 22 muscles to smile. So smile, it conveys energy!!"

Hi flickr friends!!

This image was processed to B&W on photoshop. I added some noise to convey sort of an 'old skool' image, as if it were shot on film back in the yesteryears.

Hope you all have a great day!!

My story is about a coffee and croissant at the end of my commute into Birmingham. When the opportunity arises, I enjoy going to an independent cafe called Yorks Bakery. Usually I will have done a few photographs and I will tweak and upload them up to the Internet. All whilst I am enjoying this breakfast treat.

(Picture 3 showed the door way to Yorks between the bush and the picture),

New House Old Car

The traffic was busy so got off the bus early to walk to Moor Street. I thought this street scene had a lot of energy about it

Sunset light on the city from Highgate Bridge (Hornsey Lane) over Archway road, London.

"Meddin Emrys" departs Portmadog in a swirl of Smoke and steam on the FFestiniog & Welsh Highland Rly, Wales.

... same place and time as my previous two iphone shots, a third one in the series ... a fun aspect of shooting from a moving escalator is that there is a degree of unpredictability about the exact composition

A Dublin bound railcar set rounds the bend on to the Curragh, Co Kildare, Ireland.

A section of one England's most famous rail viaducts sits starkly and and almost religiously out on the moor against the evening light haze. The 24 arches of this spectacular viaduct make a dramatic statement across this remote wild spot which up to a 100 people died during it's 4 year construction in 1874.

Shot on a beautiful morning in front of the norfolk prison.

thanks to everyone for your comments!

Another great start to the morning. The train is pulling in and one passenger is taking his time to get over to meet it.

This is taken on the pedestrian bridge over the Expressway in Central Birmingham. It is a great place to practice your long exposures. Especially if you want to put one in the 365 treasure hunt. The video cameras are keeping a watchful eye on us.

Sunday 12.30 Irish Rail Cork - Dublin Express rounds the bend at Sallins, Co kildare.

Taken from the small garden overlooking the Forrest Hotel in Dorridge. A lovely sunny morning.

England's highest mainline station on the famous Settle & Carlisle Railway . 1150 feet above sea level.

A pretty unique place to stay for the train buff, more info www.dentstation.co.uk/

Old and wrecked fishing boat detail.....

as seen from the train window, autumn is definitely here!

A mother shielding her child, a driver pushing through traffic, and a city moving around them. A small moment inside the daily rhythm of Manila — ordinary, real, and quietly human.

...almost looks like a fall shot but this is early spring at a small pond on the daily commute.. noticed one half of this pair earlier peeking out from the tall grass, and since the Canada geese seem to be pairing off right now, this couple is likely preparing and/or guarding a new nest by the pond..

A vibrant jeepney packed with passengers makes its way through Cebu City, Philippines. With bold paint, scripture across the roof, and everyday riders sharing the ride, this iconic public utility vehicle captures both the faith and resilience woven into daily Filipino life. Jeepneys remain the heartbeat of Philippine street culture—colorful, crowded, and full of stories.
