Multi-modal work commute, 13.55mi riding

Rode to Christine's for another rehearsal after work.

There is a handful of perfect Christmas-tree pines at the edge of one of the cornfields I walk past on my way to work, and today they were all wearing raindrops like bead festoons.

It just looks like a bathtub toy to me.

because one is never enough.

They're in the process of extending the bike path along my walk to work, and there are all kinds of "don't walk here!" pylons blocking the spot where it's supposed to cross the street. But they seem sort of like overkill, because the path on the other side hasn't been built yet. I really don't see a lot of people looking to cross into the tick-infested field.

Glorious sunny day in London. Commuting is not so bad on a day like this, and apparently only 1 in 3 Britons were actually at work today!

It was a pefect morning for walking to work -- cold and crisp, but not brutal; frosty and scenic; with a lovely sunrise, and christmas decorations on the barns along the way. I love December!

And it was a great day, too. There's nothing quite like everyone getting out of work a bit early so we can get a jump on a much-anticipated normalizing weekend.

Work commute

Taken on the ride home from work

On our morning commute a couple of days ago. Taken with the cameraphone.

From the Mountain View station, take your friendly neighborhood Yahoo! shuttle to Mission College.

Here, the photographer totally took me by surprise.

Batroun, heading out to sea.

The beautiful Sea Raven tug from Norfolk, VA passing one of the Reinauer tugs.

We had torrential rain all day on Monday, and this dead maple tree along my walk to work was one of the storm's victims.

My drive to work, the view rarely changes...only the seasons.
