Moor Street Station - quiet platform

Bridgetown, Barbados - January 2025: Crowds interact on a bustling street in Bridgetown, Barbados. The late afternoon sun casts a warm glow on colorful buildings as pedestrians navigate their daily routines.

The location, Bridgetown, is the capital and largest city of Barbados

This shot of the Tappan Zee Bridge span was taken in Tarrytown, NY on an early December morning. The old bridge was replaced back in 2017. It crosses the Hudson River and connects Nyack with Tarrytown, NY and Rockland County with Westchester County.

In the depths of Marienplatz's underground, a solitary traveler descends the mechanical stairs, encapsulated by the stark lines and geometry that define urban transit. The monochrome tones enhance the symmetry and pattern of the escalator, a testament to the city's rhythmic flow. This moment, frozen in time, speaks to the everyday journeys that connect us, the silent narratives that unfold in the pulse of metropolitan life.

The military bands arrived early for their performances in Birmingham. Time for a quick cuppa and bacon sandwich.

Taken from the A355, Beaconsfield. I missed the shot yesterday, but not today...

The centre of Birmingham had thick fog all around. not great for the traffic but wonderful for photography.

Wishing you all a wonderful 2009!! May it be the best year yet!! :-)

For the Shepherds Bush Pool.

I miss my Nikon ... I don't think I can pull this off with a DSLR without a Tripod (on the other hand, the image would be crisper, the tail lights of the cars more natural etc)

London is too cold for me these days so I will have to post stuff from the archives till I can brave the chilly weather.

I pass these coffee shops every morning and just too much in a rush to stop. I will need to slow down and get a cup of coffee there.

Constitution Hill and the sunrise gave lovely colours and reflections. The road leads you down to the twin spires of St Chad's Cathedral.

(The date is wrong and it was taken today 6th February for 365 purposes)

The trains in this collage where all shot on the same day at the same location for this composition in mind. The usual photoshop, blurs etc were added to blend it all together!

Nice to see a rainbow on the way back from work

It was a wet day and also very windy. Looking forward to the dry spell that is forecast. Made BBC weather watchers

This road next to the station always provides a great morning picture.

Took the XA2 with my on my way to work. This is in the subway. The f3.5 lens is a bit on the slow side so I placed the camera on the ground and used the self timer.

Associated song (for Flickr playlist): Ramones – Blitzkrieg Bop.

Seen this tunnel shot so well by people that when I passed through Embankment Station I thought I'd have a go. Not quite central and a little bit on the piss but OK I guess, for a first attempt.

For a brief moment the weather was amazing but it was followed by the rain.
