Let your eyes meander around the artistic beauty of the brick. Stupefy your senses as mystery builds within your mind, sealing together like a massive mosaic; a mosaic made of LEGO.
Brick just got real.
Basically it's a LEGO optical illusion. It's supposed to move.
Another version is here.
Which do you like better? I actually like the other one.
Mainly night shots this week as it is busy at work and then it is heading home to catch up with lecture preparation. I may not be commenting much till the weekend :(
This is on the Snow Hill train platform overlooking the expressway.
Found this beautiful facade on the way home from work today...the light was hitting it at a nice angle...will have to go back to this area, there seem to be some cool old places
Not a brilliant photo, but this view just made me sigh with pleasure on the way to work this morning. It's incredible how a beautiful view like this can set you up for the rest of the day.
An MTA engine pulls New Jersey Transit cars through the construction zone on the Bergen-Line on it's way north to Port Jervis, NY. This particular train is operated by NJ/NY since the train uses NJ rails to get to it's final destination in Port Jervis, NY. Port Jervis is a town in Upstate NY located north of the NJ border. The train travels back and forth daily between Port Jervis and Hoboken. People who work in NYC and live in Port Jervis use this train to commute during the week.

at hannover's main station, the rush of a speeding ICE train paints a blur across the platform. a solitary traveler stands in wait, captured in a moment of stillness against the rapid transit of germany's high-speed railway. the world moves at a relentless pace, but for a brief instant, there's a pause, a breath, a quiet anticipation as the ICE slices through the station, connecting cities, lives, and destinies with its efficient hum.
A city bound DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) commuter train passes Seapoint, Co Dublin. The railway along here is Ireland's oldest stretch of railway opened in 1834 and electrified in 150 years later in 1984.
The Martello Tower on the foreshore of Dublin Bay dates from the early 19th century and was built as a defensive fortification during the Napoleonic wars. It's now a popular bathing area for south city folk.

“I know the world is filled with troubles and many injustices. But reality is as beautiful as it is ugly. I think it is just as important to sing about beautiful mornings as it is to talk about slums. It's just, I couldn't write anything without hope in it.”
- Hammerstein (the musical genius)
'Sup ya'll! Having a wonderful week so far?
It's been stupid scheduled packed for me: Photograph this bird, Laundromat, coffee with a "new friend", go with grandparents to the Cancer center (yay! ಠ_ಠ), lunch with a different "new friend", grocery store, first "friend" wants to do dinner and I suggested a movie, movie's over and now she wants to do dinner, I do dinner but only get a coffee, go back and have dinner with grandparents, leave to have another dinner with an actual friend, go to the waterfront to breakdance, shower, pub performance, numbers come flying, around two o'clock this morning I get to sleep!
That was my Monday :) I loved it
Have a beautiful week everyone!
A gangway and pontoon jetty marks a typical "Ferry Ghat" (transit point for transport across the river) as day ends by the banks of the river Hooghly..........
Transportation system across the river, primarily through small launches and motorboats, between the city of Kolkata and the suburbs has always been a major option for daily commuters. Individual Ferry Ghats along the river are known to handle upwards of five thousand footfalls every day and almost a hundred thousand commuters avail of this system daily.
It was a beautiful sunrise this morning and I am spoilt for choice. This is the Queensway traffic looking towards St Chad's Cathedral.
The end of platform view from a departing Mannheim train gives the normally bustling Heidelberg station a deserted and abandoned feel.
ROAD LESS TRAVELED
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth
Then took the other as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim
Because it was grassy and wanted wear
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet, knowing how way leads onto way
I doubted if I should ever come back
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence
Two roads diverged in a wood
And I took the one less traveled by
And that has made all the difference

I shot this at the end of the E train line at Chamber St./ World trade Center station in Lower Manhattan. Sometimes you get lucky and see both downtown and uptown trains parked at the same time, that is how I managed to get this shot. I also waited until everyone was gone from the platform for the shot.
