Vicenza community members participated in a Cooking Presentation at the Vicenza Arts & Crafts Center July 28. The facility also provides professional equipment in do-it-yourself studios for woodwork, pottery and framing as well as a large multi-craft classroom.

25% wholewheat made with pasta madre and biga and a few sliced sundried tomatoes. I left the dough unsalted, and enjoyed the contrast between almost sweet bread and very salty bits of tomato. May have been underproofed, because despite my stylish feather slashing, it erupted along its length.
mom cooking dinner, definitely caught off guard, presumably not wanting to be caught off guard, oh well too bad!
Look who doesn't need the gas-stove :D Sunday breakfast that got me compliments from a bunch of bachelor boys who'd given up on breakfast a long time ago.
Ah, the house smelled so good today - it smelled like lefse. We cooked the dough that I showed from yesterday. The bubbles get popped by the lefse flipping stick that we use to turn the pieces. The bubbles (or what was left of them) form the traditional brown spots that you find on good lefse. The kitchen was COVERED in flour today, as were the lefse rollers.
In our family, lefse is like gold. We've been known to count the pieces that everyone else at the table has eaten to ensure that no one has eaten more than others.
Of course, there was some...sampling...going on today - some pieces just weren't of high enough quality to be put away with the rest of the pieces. They served their brethren well and went into our stomachs.
