Here it is, available tomorrow.
This is an updated version of the New Vegan. It includes the resource list that never got into the first book.
This book is geared toward the person wanting to go vegan, and many recipes call for using faux meats and such to make the transition. The recipes are those I veganized over the years through 2004.
Some of the recipes I have made and posted on FlickR.
I create recipes all the time, as well as changing old ones. That is my joy.
Some cookbook or something in an asian store. I couldn't get a better shot in time because I didn't want to get in trouble for taking photos so I snuck a few shots and this was the best one. My camera sucks.
But yes, that is a whole dead debeaked chicken covered in food. A "dish" like this would never sell in Canada or the US!
Bottom of my cookbook bookshelf, showing the built-in "bracket". Taken by a Nikon D40x with an 18-55mm Nikon non-VR kit lens (at 18) Camera's on-board flash fired, and didn't quite provide 18mm coverage! Seen in situ in my home in Albany, CA.
My mother-in-law recently gave me this cookbook published by Coleman's Mustard and is inspiring me to consider doing some retro cooking.

A perfect example of a coptic binding. Cookbooks are so nice when they don't close on you as you go to get more ingredients out of the cupboard. I couldn't resist using the ant paper for the cover of a cookbook either, so I love this book. Coptic binding is by far my favorite binding style. It is complicated to do and many people avoid using it, but I love the flexibility it provides (you can use ANYTHING for a cover even if it is not flexible) and the utility of the book once you're done (it stays open on any page.)

Excerpt from graffiti in a cookbook that will be donated at GAfilk. Details in an upcoming Blathering.
I had to ask for help to choose which of these three photos to use. I actually quite like all three of them but this one got the most votes. Also, this is only a tiny part of my coobook collection. Last count I had 80+. I *really* like cookbooks.
So, I managed to do September.
Couple of days where I had to throw in a random photo that I had taken that day instead of taking one specially, but I did it.
Good start I feel.
