Post-apocalyptic photo shoot with models - captured at an abandoned campground in Toms River, NJ.

Model: Elena Margaret

I was going through some old photos I had taken many years ago and came across this one of David at a market. Decided to have a bit of fun with it.

I didn’t know it was so interesting taking pics at people while they’re observing art. Of course I initially been attracted by the girl, later I realized I could also realize some fine art with the whole situation.

A general view of the exhibition located on the 4th floor annex. Unfortunately a show about the Guggenheim rotunda is not in the rotunda itself.

Photo issue d'une balade très sympathique au Havre :)

We took a trip to Home Depot to get the bits to make a luxury rat mansion. I took a muscle relaxer ahead of time, and hoped for the best. By the time we had walked from the car to the back of the store, a muscle spasm gripped my back and leg so hard I hightailed it out to wait in the car. Once there, I reclined, gritted my teeth, cried a bit from the pain, and contemplated His Noodly Goodness while I waited for my Honey to finish buying supplies.

I can function just fine lately, as long as I don't walk anywhere. I can just make it from the car to my desk at work. A short grocery shopping trip is enough to set it off. But today I felt so good I'd hoped I'd manage the Home Depot trip alright.

X-rays and such all show my back in excellent alignment. Various tests show no sign of pinching or shifting disks. Seems to be a chain reaction of some sort. Walking irritates a muscle on one side of my middle back. That sends all kinds of distress signals that trigger sharp pain lower in the back, and seriously painful muscle spasms and weakness in my left leg. Gritting my teeth against the worst of them gives me a headache, and the pain, when at its worst, makes me nauseous.

Three doctors, a chiropractor, a dozen or so tests, a lot of missed work, and still no one knows what's causing it. I've got a referral to another doc, and am considering trying acupuncture. Could be worse. But darn I'd like to be able to walk without going from hale and hearty to the fetal position in under two blocks. Preferably sooner rather than later.

It's especially annoying because the folks at work mostly just see me in pain-free mode. So when I say I can't walk to the cafeteria and back (a round trip of about 3/4 of a mile) I think some of them think I'm being a wimp. A couple of them have seen me in the grasp of one of these cramping episodes, and know better. Freaking embarrassing thing to have happen at work.

On the up-side, it was a truly beautiful afternoon today. Temperatures peaking around 58°F (14°C), scattered clouds, a light breeze. My absolute favorite kind of weather. Fall weather is brief around here, but it is my favorite season without a doubt.

This was some really good
