I should have been posting images of Guillemots and Puffins today but sadly poor weather kicked in after dawn on Saturday and meant my much anticipated trip to the Farne Islands was cancelled.... I managed to bag a couple of consolation shots from Bamburgh beach with the Farne Islands on the horizon (on the right) while the sea and skies looked calm and a little more hopeful...
Fingers crossed for next week.

One New Year's resolution is to get into better shape and shed some pounds. Today I wondered why I should wait for the new year so I went to the gym.... However, one day does not a habit make.

This photo has been taken as part of the scientific effort of the salvage archaeologist team H.U.N.E. to document the Sudanese Arab tribe of the Manasir and their cultural landscape 'Dar al-Manasir' situated at the Fourth Cararact of the River Nile.
The homeland of the Manasir will be submerged by the reservoir lake of the Hamdab High Dam (Merowe Multi-Purpose Hydro Project) in the very near future and all inhabitants have to be relocated by the Sudanese government.

Jellies are one of the most fascinating animals and a popular attraction at Monterey Bay Aquarium. People seem to get lost staring at them drifting about.
OK, I am finally back from a business trip to South Korea. There were a lot of cool places to visit and not enough time. This one is from the Naksan temple in mount Seorak region on the east coast. It is a temple located right on the beautiful coastline of the East sea (Japan sea). There was a beautiful sunrise and I noticed this monk sitting in one of the temple gazebos, looking out to the sea. Immediately I thought it would be a great moment to capture. So, here you have it :)
