Made from 5 light frames (captured with an astro-modified SONY A7S camera) by Starry Landscape Stacker 1.5.1.
This was going to be one of my submissions to Self Portrait Challenge for the Diptych theme. I conceived the idea, but it ended up feeling contrived. The execution is far from perfect, but I ended up spending so much time on it, that I decided I'd go ahead and post it. I learned a few things along the way about layers, etc. so it's not a complete loss, at least.

I found three of these birds flitting around next to a train/bus bridge in Portland. Looks like a Lesser Goldfinch. Thanks, Keith Todd, for help IDing it!

The cabinet was a gift to my husband's father after he had worked with a Korean company for a time in the 1970's
A classic destination in Myanmar is Inle Lake. Most everyone heads for the Nyaungshwe and takes a tour from there. Unfortunately, since our first visit in 1998, the place has been overrun with a gazillion tourists. Try the alternative. There is actually a system of three lakes connected by a river. We hired a boat in Pekon, north of Loikaw, ( itself a fabulous place), and spent two days traveling north to the circus at Inle Lake. It was tremendously pleasant with hardly any other foreigners. We stayed at the Paya Taung monastery the first night; a lovely, authentic experience. Pictured is a young student monk from the temple.
