She stands within the shadows of the castle's main window. Casting her gaze upwards the lust for blood fills her need to feed. Her mind is taken back to the village below, a great selection of menu options. Her visit will be tonight, her selection will be of one of those who will attend. Maybe a fine young man with firm muscled physique or a buxom female full of lust. No matter which one she chooses, she knows her first bite will gorge her throat with satisfaction, her strength overpowering her victim into full submission. Her excitement grows as her fangs drip with hungerful lust.

Wilsis belongs to a series of portrait heads by Jaume Plensa, depicting young girls from around the world, with their eyes closed in a dreamlike state of contemplation. At over seven meters high, the work transforms the ordinary into something extraordinary.
Wilsis is a fascinating exploration of perspective through the flattening of form, an idea that grew out of Plensa’s desire to understand what happens on the other side, on the reverse of things with which we are familiar, such as letters printed on a page, or a portrait head on a coin. From the front the head appears realistic, yet from the side it is an extremely flattened relief. Viewing the work at YSP represents a journey of discovery, first glimpsed in a beautiful setting across the lake, and revealed fully as you walk around the landscape to discover it more closely.

"What SpongeBob?"
"I wish these folks would wash their windows."
"Yes, it would be nice to know what is going on out there."

I tried to make the best of the sunny weather today and went to a local park hoping for some signs of spring. Of course I took my camera although because of my shoulder problem this wasn't a brilliant idea. I used a lighter zoom lens instead of my usual lenses but that didn't make much difference. Somehow I managed a few photos, not so much of flowers (there were only crocus and a few daffodils) but of the animals there. In many occasions I missed my longer and better telezoom lens but the mere weight would kill me at the moment. The lighter lens was okay for taking some shots of the Canada geese though as they allowed me to get quite close.
Slightly over exposed but I like this. Despite what it says about flash off I did use my canon flash as fill in on this photo. Set manually to 1/16 power
