Playa Barrika, on the rugged and beautiful Basque coast ... the wind was invigorating and the waves were relentless and powerful, mostly obscuring the remarkable Flysch rock formations at high tide.

One place you might hope to find solitude and the mental room for contemplation is at a museum or art gallery.....places that seem to demand a different kind of behavior than in a restaurant or a mall or other bustling public space. This couple sits quietly, speechless, as they examine and contemplate a painting at San Francisco's Museum of Modern Art.

Chun Yeung Street, North Point, Hong Kong
A climber admires the spectacular sunrise from the summit of Stok Kangri, a 6120m peak near Leh, in Northern India.
We reached the summit right on 5am after making the 900m climb from our advance base camp in 4 hours - climbing through the nigth, alpine style.
While the climbing is not particularly technical, the long plod across a glacier and up almost a vertical kilometer of ice with less than 50% of the oxygen at sea-level is completely exhausting!
I definately recommend that you view LARGE and take a moment to revel in natures awesomeness!
