Comparison of 27mm & 450mm focal lengths. 18-70mm at its widest & 75-300mm at its longest compared on a DX sensor.
On the left is a the JPEG spewed from a Digital Rebel XT. On the right is the exact same photo as RAW. The XT has a mode where it will save both a JPEG and a RAW copy of any photo taken; the two images are from the same exposure. The difference is striking.
I got asked for a comparison of the Haircolors of my rerooted Siernna Calm and Honey Swamp.
Cause the Color Me Creepy Doll has the same Color just in straight i put her into the Picture too.
For Siernna i used on top and in the Front the Color "Mermaid" from Retrodolls (Seaglow from Mylittlecustoms).
This is just a Blend of Kingfisher Blue and Clover.
So i used the Colors in the Back each in a row. That gave them a streaked look but still blends in well.
I absolutly don´t know any Store where i can get the Haircolor Honey Swamp has.
I really want a Emerald Green
in Saran. Ivy from Dollyhair is pretty but i hate Nylon.
So this is the best next thing. ^^

So I got out my first editions and paired them up with the new releases... Which one do you prefer? I will always choose old because of quality, and because I'm sure I'm biased.lol
I dug out an old incandescent bulb from a dynamo bike light for comparison.
The led in the Mini Dyna Light is a Cree XPG R4, with should give well over 200 lumens at the rated current of my dynamo. The optics are not ideal, but its still at least an order of magnitude difference over what that incandescent bulb bulb next to it can generate.
Two pale Lepidochitona cinerea for comparison with Leptochiton cancellatus (centre).
Girdle of Lepidochitona cinerea has a unique (in N.W. Europe) lozenge pattern (see image 13Lca flic.kr/p/Pv3mKj ), but sometimes indistinct, especially on whitish specimens like these which are easily confused with Leptochiton cancellatus (central specimen).
1: Faint trace of Lepidochitona cinerea girdle pattern.
2: Whitish girdle, no pattern, but rusty staining from ferrous deposits on Leptochiton cancellatus.
3: Beak on intermediate valve of Lepidochitona cinerea.
4: No beak on intermediate valve of Leptochiton cancellatus.
5: Strong growth line on Leptochiton cancellatus.

This is the first image with my new Pentax K100D. Both are shot in RAW with the same settings, the left side with shake reduction the right side without. Not much difference, but once I have a chance to leave work I'm sure I can come up with better comparison subjects.
(This is part of my wall at work. Since I have no windows I have to do something to make my office tolerable. :)
Bad news, i'm not completely done revamping things. Good news, i'm almost finished. I just need to cast a few new characters and a new "Arizona". Naturally i think a S.I.S doll would be a better fit, but which one? I could see Trichelle because of her skintone ( maybe), eye color, eye shape, brow, and even hair texture. What do you think?
Here is the comparison between the old X-Reas coilover (bottom) with the new Donahoe Racing Coilover (top).
2 MacBooks, one running XP the other running what it should be running. Note: only one of them is mine, the other is my father's.
This picture is taken with Nikon D200 + 12-24f/4. Focal length was 18 (27 in 35mm format), aperture was f8. Depth of field was about 26cm. Picture is edited in Lightroom. Picture is then exported so that height is 1920 pixels. I have also taken the same picture with Nokia 808 and 920.
The first shot was taken at the University of New Hamsphire and the latter in Seattle last month.

Comparison of TAG, Empress, Eureka and D&P.
(note the D&P figures do not have the heads attached, I just stuck the bodies over the spru)
In previous posts, iplehouse wigs run small. ACR on the left is wearing a purple 8-9" iplehouse {Iplehouse IHW_M021 (8-9")} and Cinnamoroll is wearing a light blue 7-8" iplehouse wig {Iplehouse (7-8") IHW_S021 Sky Blue #F8}. The length isn't much difference, but you can tell that the 7-8" is shorter.
*Note, it is not the same wig style.
In the end, for iplehouse, I would go for a 9-8" wig for Dal.
Comparison of the (single coated) Nippon Kogaku Japan Nikkor-N 24mm f/2.8 with the (multicoated) Nikon Nikkor-N.C 24mm f/2.8. Both have the same optical formula, only the coating is different. HN-3 hood, no filter, Nikon D90 body.
