Just returned from a short trip to Elk Island NP. Took my camera just in case something interesting showed up, while my husband was photographing heavenly bodies. As luck would have it I turned the other way and saw the sky getting aurora highlights. Needless to say I did have some fun while he was otherwise occupied ;D

So, little known fact about me. My first real exposure to the avengers was the animated film Ultimate Avengers, and recently i got Age Of Ultron on Itunes, so after watching that, it reminded me of Ultimate Avengers, and so I decided to make some figures from the ultimate universe.
Left To Right
Iron Man: While he didn't sport this armor in the film, I went with it anyways, since it's pretty cool.
Spiderman: You've seen him before. Not to much to say.
Nick Fury: Pretty strait forward as well. Not sure if i've posted him before, but here he is.
Thor: Easily my favorite. Gave him Martian Manhunter's legs to make him a bit taller. Really like how the hammer came out, even though it's a really weird design.

Description: 2014-03-07: The image was taken as Kuala Lumpur enters it's almost 2 month of the most dry and hot season yet, since a few years. Early during the week, the Klang Valley (and most of the places in the country) was covered with haze. Though the day that this image was taken, it was still having some haze. Still, Alhamdulillah that I decided to stop by a regular spot for photography in Kuala Lumpur for a short timelapse session. Enjoy.

I truly hope that all of my friends here on Flickr are doing well.
◼I am asking for prayers for my co-workers/family/friends and myself. More covid issues. Worries me. And I just hope they're all OKAY. And I truly pray that I do not bring it home to Juan and my father. (For those of you who do not know, Juan & I took my father in a couple years back & we take care of him.) He is far too ill to be contracting a COLD.. so covid19 would definitely hurt him.
🙏Prayers are much appreciated. So far I'm negative. Hopefully it stays that way.. & I do not spread it to my family.

I love the way this photo came out.
You have a view thru the still water.. Different types of leaves... textures/colors. Then there is colors from the sky and other reflections... You can even see trees. I thought this looked beautiful, and I was hoping that I could successfully capture the beauty that was lying in the still water before me.. I do believe this capture was a success.

Woke up at 5am yesterday morning in order to get to a reasonable good spot for a sunrise shoot. It has been a long while since we have made to a sunrise, simply because in the middle of summer the sun gets up way too early for us to even try and get up ;D. It was a lovely morning and we were close enough to get to Devonian Gardens for their early opening for photographers. I will share these shots a little bit later. For now, here is a sunrise on the prairies..

Sacred Kingfisher
Scientific Name: Todiramphus sanctus
Description: The Sacred Kingfisher is a medium sized kingfisher. It has a turquoise back, turquoise blue rump and tail, buff-white underparts and a broad cream collar. There is a broad black eye stripe extending from bill to nape of neck. Both sexes are similar, although the female is generally lighter with duller upper parts. Young birds are similar to the female, but have varying amounts of rusty-brown edging to feathers on the collar and underparts, and buff edges on the wing coverts.
Distribution: The Sacred Kingfisher is common and familiar throughout the coastal regions of mainland Australia and less common throughout Tasmania. The species is also found on islands from Australasia to Indonesia and New Zealand.
Habitat: The Sacred Kingfisher inhabits woodlands, mangroves and paperbark forests, tall open eucalypt forest and melaleuca forest.
Seasonal movements: In Australia, Sacred Kingfishers spend the winter in the north of their range and return south in the spring to breed.
Feeding: Sacred Kingfishers forage mainly on the land, only occasionally capturing prey in the water. They feed on crustaceans, reptiles, insects and their larvae and, infrequently, fish. The birds perch on low exposed branch on the lookout for prey. Once prey is located, the Sacred Kingfisher swoops down and grasps it in its bill, returning to the perch to eat it.
Breeding: For most of the year Sacred Kingfishers are mainly solitary, pairing only for the breeding season. Usually two clutches are laid in a season. Both sexes excavate the nest, which is normally a burrow in a termite mound, hollow branch or river bank. The nest chamber is unlined and can be up to 20m above the ground. Both sexes also incubate the eggs and care for the young.
Calls: The voice of the Sacred Kingfisher is a loud "ek ek ek ek" repeated continuously throughout breeding season. Birds also give a "kee kee kee" in excitement and a series of chirring, scolding notes when alarmed.
Minimum Size: 19cm
Maximum Size: 24cm
Average size: 21cm
Average weight: 45g
Breeding season: September to December; occasionally extended to March, if conditions are favourable.
Clutch Size: 3 to 6
Incubation: 18 days
Nestling Period: 26 days

La voûteN 1 (ou vouteN 2) est un ouvrage architectural constitué d'un plancher construit en brique, moellon, pierre, ou en béton, dont le dessous (ou intrados) est fait en arc ou en plate-bande. Lorsqu'il est construit en pierre, il est formé par des voussoirs ou claveaux qui, par leurs dispositions, se soutiennent ensembleM 1. On donne aux voûtes différentes dénominations, suivant leur forme.
