This mask was mined and hand carved in Mexico. It is made from gold sheen obsidian AKA natural lava glass, or teotetl (translates to "divine stone").
The stone appears black at first, but when viewed at certain angles and light, a beautiful gold appears! Stories are told, that Cortez and the Spanish thought that this was gold. They thought this stone was cursed. Why? As night fell it turned black like the night itself, however the sun made it glow and sparkle like gold.
The mask represents life as a continuous cycle. One side skeletal and the other flesh.

Set mask on white plastic, with a white paper background. I started to light this with strobes to the sides. The lighting was harsh and didn't model well. I settled on a long exposure using the room lighting - 2 incandescent bulds on the ceiling. On a tripod, using my 17-55mm F2.8 lens, I made the image with a long exposure. A little tweaking in p-shop to get the golden color to come out more, and whiten the background a little more. That's basically all. If this inspires you to try something, post me a link!

had a camera disaster today; the catch on the back of my film camera broke. two in two months, i really really need to start looking after my cameras more, feeling so guilty.

¬So when i grow my hair long i will never leave it down. I will always have it up in some crazy hair style or what not. and pig tails hell no i hate those crackas! I think i might not cut my hair(in the back) ,for layers and such,until it's past my neck. I got this hair idea from one of the snsd members from the video oh! i had to use sooo many bobby pins to hold up the bottom layer of my hair haha. but the rest of my hair was long enough to go up in the tiny bun..it's so cute. my hair is so thin..i've grown to love and accept it

I want to read, write, and speak it fluently. I mean my bf is 100% colombian and i'm 50% cuban, duh i need to learn spanish fluently..also when i have kids in my 30s i want them to grow up speaking spanish fluently, first then learn english. nothing against english haha. i just want that. how sexy will that mix be? 50% colombian 25% cuban 25% european. my kids are going to have a great mix. hehe

Australian Wood Duck
Scientific Name: Chenonetta jubata
Description: The Australian Wood Duck is a medium-sized 'goose-like' duck with a dark brown head and a pale grey body with two black stripes along the back. Males have the darker head and a small dark mane, with a speckled brown-grey breast and a black lower belly and undertail. The females have a paler head with two white stripes, above and below the eye, a speckled breast and flanks, with a white lower belly and undertail. In flight, the wings are pale grey above, contrasting with black wingtips, and have a noticeable white bar on the underside (the secondaries). They walk easily on land and may be seen perching on logs and in trees. They will only take to open water when disturbed. This species is also known as the Maned Duck or the Maned Goose.
Similar species: The Australian Wood Duck can be distinguished from pygmy geese,Nettapus spp, which are smaller, have bold white face markings and are usually seen on water. Whistling ducks, Dendrocygna spp, have longer legs and necks, larger more duck-like bills and tend to walk more upright. When flying, the Australian Wood Duck is the only duck with white secondary feathers and dark wingtips.
Distribution: The Australian Wood Duck is widespread in Australia, including Tasmania.
Habitat: The Australian Wood Duck is found in grasslands, open woodlands, wetlands, flooded pastures and along the coast in inlets and bays. It is also common on farmland with dams, as well as around rice fields, sewage ponds and in urban parks. It will often be found around deeper lakes that may be unsuitable for other waterbirds' foraging, as it prefers to forage on land.
Feeding: The Australian Wood Duck eats grasses, clover and other herbs, and occasionally, insects. It is rarely seen on open water, preferring to forage by dabbling in shallow water, or in grasslands and crops.
Breeding: The Australian Wood Duck forms monogamous breeding pairs that stay together year round. It nests in tree holes, above or near water, often re-using the same site. Both parents feed young and young birds remain with them up to a month after fledging.
Calls: Females have long, loud, rising: 'gnow?' while male calls are shorter and higher pitched. Flocks chatter when feeding.
Minimum Size: 44cm
Maximum Size: 50cm
Average size: 47cm
Breeding season: September to November in the south; after rain in the north.
Clutch Size: 8 to 10 eggs
Incubation: 28 days
Nestling Period: 57 days

"Boss, Doomfist isn't even in the game!"
I know.
A lot of speculation has been circulating the interwebs, and it had me hyped when Orisa wasn't revealed. I'm hoping for an in game Doomfist, like a lot.
Anywho, this figure is my own take on the character.
It's inspired by some concept art, the Numbani map, a little bit of Horizon: Zero Dawn flair, and my own ideas.
I'll just explain the figure.
Doomfist:
The hair is inspired by a lot of Concept Art. It started out as a wolverine hairpiece. The head is fully painted by me, with a little blue body paint added (which is where the Horizon influence came from).
The armor was what I had started for Saw Gerrera, but I painted it all black.
The actual "Doomfist" is made from a four lego hands, a flickfire gun, and other various bits. The other arm is wrapped in etape, with a silver wash, and a few blue additions. I gave him a Rex pauldron, as it fits with the color scheme, along with a custom waist cape.
His legs were extended.
I don't really think the photo does him justice, because he looks so much better in person.
