Happy Caturday !!!

On January 17th in the Masai Mara, three lionesses brought down a cape buffalo. Once the animal was dead, a black maned male lion approached the site and took the capture away from them and started to eat. Following this, three young male lions proceeded to take control of the carcass from the adult male lion and chased him away.
This is what I was told by some members of my photo group that evening. I felt bad because I had missed the action while we were away photographing some cheetahs. The next day, our jeep headed to the location of the kill to find the three young male lions from the day before had returned to feast. They ate quite a bit of the dead animal, when a large group of hyenas approached the scene.
The hyenas hung back and watched the lions eat while slowly approaching the carcass. The three males were successful at keeping them at bay. As time went by, one and then two lions became full and moved away. With only one male lion left on the carcass, the group of hyenas approached even closer and were actually eating at the same time as the last young male. Then they chased away him away, and moved in to eat.
Who should appear on the scene next but the older black maned male from the day before. He oozed confidence and started walking straight up to the carcass. He must have had a lot of macho, because he then proceeded to chase away all of the hyenas. Following in his footsteps for five feet behind were two jackals hoping to have a bite.

I noticed that the video is cropped only a few days ago. But video from Mongolia is also cropped:( . I'm not going to supplement it, because there lost only few second, but in the previous video - almost two minutes. Then I'll add two parts at once, so that you can see the whole video

Chestnut-breasted Mannikin
Scientific Name: Lonchura castaneothorax
Description: The Chestnut-breasted Mannikin is a thick-set brown finch with a grey crown, black face and a heavy grey bill. It has a chestnut brown breast divided from white underparts by a black bar. The rump and tail are golden orange, with a black undertail. Females are paler than males and young birds are uniformly olive-brown above, pale below with a brown-buff chest and no black face or chest bar. Like other finches, this species is a very social bird and is most often seen in flocks.
Similar species: The related Yellow-rumped Mannikin, L. flaviprymna, which lacks the black face and chest bar, can interbreed with the Chestnut-breasted Mannikin and produce intermediate forms.
Distribution: The Chestnut-breasted Mannikin is found across northern and eastern coastal Australia, from the Kimberley region, Northern Territory, to the Shoalhaven River, New South Wales. It is also found in New Guinea.
Habitat: The Chestnut-breasted Mannikin is found in reed beds, long grasses, swamps and mangroves.
Seasonal movements: Locally nomadic, especially in the north. Can form flocks of several hundred birds.
Feeding: The Chestnut-breasted Mannikin feeds on grass seeds, usually on the stalk rather than from the ground. It will also eat winged termites at the beginning of breeding season.
Breeding: The Chestnut-breasted Mannikin nests in colonies, with the nests close together in grass clumps, sugar cane or reeds, less than 2 m from the ground. The rounded nest is made from green or dried grass blades and is lined with fine grasses. It lacks an entrance tunnel but the entrance may have a hood. Both parents build the nest, incubate the eggs and feed the young, but only the female stays in the nest overnight.
Calls: Bell-like or drawn-out: 'teet'.
Minimum Size: 10cm
Maximum Size: 12cm
Average size: 11cm
Average weight: 14g
Breeding season: Spring and autumn in south; with rains in north
Clutch Size: 4 to 6 eggs
Incubation: 13 days
Nestling Period: 22 days

I had just finished Photographing a Jumping spider. I was walking along and seen this poor thing being swooped by many Magpies. I took my jumper off and managed to walk up on him and throw this on. He hardly put up a fight as I scooped him up and took him back to my house.
I managed to get a local Wildlife carer to come grab him after some time on hold to the Emergency wildlife line. He has a puncture wound on top of his head from the Magpies and is around 200 grams under the weight he should be.
I am glad I was able to help. These can fall victim to being poisoned by eating rats and mice but also they sadly loose habitat and things like this end up happening.
Not a great Photo. I did not want to stress this guy any more. He has been through enough! Which makes me think about the following..
